Seriously, what's wrong with you people? He's teaching a drill "for" 13/14yr olds……. If he was to use an inexperienced 13/14yr old it wouldn't be executed perfectly so there's no point...…...Great drill, love it.....i'll be doing this with my 11yr old.

Its good but this kind of practice is completely taking spin out of equation. The balance of the footwork largely depends on the length but spin demands subtle adjustments which is lacking here.

yup but this technique could help playing the length of the spin.

The idea is 'how to teach the basic concept' and I see it as having mobilized footwork for spin play. Done excellently. Listen to the words the coach uses. And also how he invites the answer from the trainee instead of throwing it out himself. It internalizes learning for the long term. Don't go by the high skill and shape of this player. You can apply it to players not as gifted.

Terrific demonstration, Gavan Twining. Coaches should watch and also pick up on how you're causing the batter to reinforce the skills and adaptations by asking a question. He answers and the knowledge solidifies
