Coach Lee, you are a genius and awesome coach. Your coaching for an advanced skilled level play , in India Dronacharya award is awarded for best coach in field of sports for accomplished coaches. I totally accept you to be a Dronacharya, been playing for 15 months. I learned basics from your video and now concentrating on advanced, i take one technique and play for 4-6 weeks until I get a good hang of it. I bow to you as a disciple to a master.

But you hardly move at all. The court i wider then that. I think you should not move back, move fast sideways and intercept. Your "tap" is not enough.

coach Lee, another opportunity to correct myself, esp the moving back that was not in my mind. My opponent exploited me a lot through those shots.

Nowadays, I found cross court backhand clear/drive catch them off guard, especially if their momentum committed to front expecting me return to net.

It will be good if you can give advise for drive attack to middle court corner, which often we confused whether the front court partner or back court to take for middle court.

Hahaha, my friend always do that to me in practice. It is annoying at first, because I can't return properly. But, he said it will help me plan for anticipation. The way he taught me is to first learn a regular backhand clear. After that, he showed me that the very safe option to return that kind of drive (attack drive to backhand), is to high clear to backcourt using backhand. But to do that, you had to plan the anticipation, because you can't do backhand clear properly if the shuttle is right next to you, because you had to turn your body. So it is easier to do backhand clear if the shuttle is a little bit farther (to allow more space to turn). So, I think what coach Lee meant here in the comment "You can b ready more for it when they attack more on your backhand", is this anticipation. You have to imagine where your opponent usually place the shuttle so you can anticipate, when that happen your position is on ideal distance with the shuttle :D. Also, note that my friend recommends high backhand clear, because he is advanced player. He already able to do backhand clear, even if he turns away (like in the video), his return clear is clean. The shuttle travels far to the back court and the travel time is long, so he had a all the time to face the opponent again and ready. Coach Lee's way is perfect and easy to understand for beginners, because they don't have to learn backhand clear. After they become more advanced and able to do clean clear, they have different options. This is what I like from Coach Lee's method because it teaches you basics before you tried to learn more advanced/complicated stuffs. Coach Lee's and my friend had the same points, the anticipation is what's important.
