It's really amazing on how he can execute every shot and break it down so we can further understand it and notice our mistakes. I salute you sir for being one of the best badminton yt channels out there.

Thank you sooo much! I've been playing just like Ryan (except with a lower level! LOL!) for many many years and have always had trouble with my smash and sometime with simple things like changing grips. Some senior player at my club even asked me once "Why do you play like that? That's no good. It looks like you're not following through with your swing, it looks chopped and weird". But since he was no coach he couldn't identify my problem. He just said my smash looked weird. Your explanation makes a LOT of sense to me and proves how small details can make a big difference (and avoid injuries!). I'll start practicing this as of tomorrow!

God. It is really really helpful to me. Thanks! I have been playing badminton for about one and a half years and have learned it from several coaches. However, no one corrected my posture that has been exactly the same as Ryan. I really didn't know why my smash was so weak although I got trained a lot and did weightlifting everyday for it. But, this lesson and your comparison of "Boxer" gave me a new sight of how to swing. I would like to express my deep appreciation to you!!! Thanks!!

Thank you very much & your explanation was very clear. Will try it next time. I used to wonder why my serves were weak. I played badminton first time in a court & i did miserably though i am far better outside the court. I will try the posture you told me here & i am sure it will be helpful. Will keep you updated. Thank you very much.

I'm the only in my team that knows how to smash yet I do it wrong, my "coach " is selfish, she asks us and tells to win when she doesn't even give any information on how to play badminton. But thank you. I hope my game will improve. You are the best

I knew my smashes were weak compare to other power hitters n now I know the reason for it . My mistake was not the grip but the elbow part which u explained it so patiently. That boxer punch explanation made it very clear. Thank you very much Coach 👍👍👍 Wish had a coach like yourself to my access. Coz I think one month training from you can make me a different level player altogether. Cheers Coach 👍👍

Honestly.. this is really good, I used to use only neutral grip as forehand smash etc.. its slower and weaker.. I guess much, though I am pretty strong compared to others, why would I hit much weaker plus less accurate. I have followed your videos Sir, but this one is mostly the best. after i learn that my grip is wrong, I changed this way.. The hit is completely easier, faster, stronger.. Like what this video says.. Much better stronger.. Thank you. This helped a lot, I am 30s and not a dedicated player. Again thank you

I have a question , can you show/explain how does the elbow move back and then forward as you smash. I seem to be confused on this, do you move your elbows directly front or from side ways, slow mo demonstration on how the elbow and arms move before you strike. tqvm

Hi Can you also create a video or let me know, the muscles targeted while hitting a clear shot and smash. Generally for me, when i hit 15-20 clear or smash shots in a match, my biceps of the racket arm start paining. I am sure, i am hitting them with a wrong technique
@hruaite18935 жыл бұрын
This help me alot. Thank you Coach. But I suffer arm pain whenever I smack. That's the big problem of me. I don't know what to do.
@sebastianleal965 жыл бұрын
If you suffer from arm pain it might be due to repetitive bad execution of a certain move. I would suggest that you rest for a few days to see if the pain goes away. It that's not the case, you should see a doctor. I don't know how often you train but after a long break, my forearm hurts a lot after a match, so that may be another reason.
