Hey coach, I’m 14, practice everyday and push myself to get into an academy team, at my age what events or anything can I attend to possible make it onto a academy, because I try research but nothing gives me a direct answer on how I can put myself out there at a young age. Love the channel keep up the great work, much love❤️

@@DaNSkills Hey bro I'm 13 on an academy team/MLS Next team I say the best way to get on one of these teams is to use a friend or someone that you know on an academy team to get your name to the coach, and once he knows your name ask him if there is a way you can practice with them

Javi, I would love for you to go in depth on the Graduate Assistant Coach position, just finished up my first semester, and going into my second semester currently as a D3 Soccer GA with a small program. I want to be able to do my best currently so I can get a full time position after! Any advice will help much.

I’ve gone to numerous open tryouts, my recent one was for Sacramento Republic $220 for 2 days. I disliked how unprofessional the gear was for tryouts pins and needles to stick a # on there vests, they told us players to decide the substitutions on the 1st day even though each team had a coach... On the last day they said they would sent out an email & when that day came Sacramento only selected 2 players. I wasn’t a fan of how they didn’t introduce the 2 players names they selected in the email.... I won’t take away how they had some good snacks at the end and the experience! I Would love to attend an open tryout from DC FC though 🤙🏼

A lot of professional teams do that and it is quite frustrating.

Hey, being a Sacramento native and very ambitious towards pursuing a career pathway in the sport, I’m actually very intrigued to learn more about your experience with the most recent open tryout for Sac Republic, if you could get back to me with a preferred way to communicate besides KZbin, that would be awesome man. Until then, hope all is well

I’ve been told that these clubs choose players before the tryouts happen. I met one guy who went to a tryout with Real Salt Lake and saw a player show up late, shake hands with the coaching staff, and get in. According to this guy, that player sucked and still got selected because he played D1 college. It just goes to show you that these tryouts only exist so you can waste money and make the player they chose look good. So about 197 players in the tryouts got finessed.

I attended a tryout at Philadelphia Lonestar FC today. It was a short tryout (we got there, did simple drills, and started playing). My team lost, we were told the formation and we had to work together to figure things out, the problem was -everyone wanted to play forward. A player even lied to me, saying he was put on striker role (when earlier I had already heard him say he was a winger). I felt so bad when I got back home. We lost, I think 4-0. My team tried, but just wasn't prepare to work together.

Lió messi didn’t get signed the first time he went on trials with Argentinian clubs. You have to have money to move across the sea and tryout. Most great players come from the hood in the poorest of cities and that’s where soccer in America is overlooking.

Something I struggle with is finding the time to train. I am constantly sitting in front of the computer and have been lazy since this whole Covid situation. I really want to become a pro player but the lack of motivation and finding on what things to improve really bring me down. I am stuck at home and cant play. I cant exercise. If you could make a video on some topic which would help, that would be greatly appreciated!

Never say you can’t, force yourself to go outside, you can take a run, pass the ball against a wall, etc think of it as an investment, you’re investing your time into this sport and eventually later on in life it will hopefully pay off, push yourself to practice more and harder, set up a schedule for yourself limit your time on the screen go outside and play the game you love!! I’m 14 normally others my age are lazy but I like to look into the future and realize if I practice hard at a young age it won’t hurt me further down in life it will make me a better player, good luck bro you got this !!!!!❤️
