I just went to go and buy some swarvoski rhinestones, and have found that swarvoski no longer sell these. Is there another make that you recommend? 😭

I have found that I don't like the cheapie, wax tipped, tool for picking up the crystals. I have had much better luck with the Krystal Katana. I also wish I had better luck with the craft syringes. The glue in them seems to thicken super fast, making it hard for me to push the syringe. However, with E6000, you can buy the kind with different tips, which is super helpful. I also find it helpful to have the dress gently stretched out, and for super thin areas like mesh, using somethign like wax paper is excellent for catching the glue without causing it to stick to the other side of the dress. Toothpicks can also really help with the placement of the crystals, or with adding glue. I also highly recommend separating your crystals, depending on how you want to stone your dress. That way, they are easier to find. All in all, everyone who stones dresses will have their ways, and there's not one perfect way to get it done. What matters the most is how the dress looks at the end, and the wearer of the dress is happy with it. :)

What is the best method you’ve found for cleaning your syringes?

I have been able to re-use the canister part, but not the needle part of syringes, by letting the glue nicely dry and then pulling it out of the tube while in a rubbery state.

Hi Coach Julia! Would this method work to put rhinestones on leather figure skates, like the Jackson Artiste? Or is it not recommended to put rhinestones on skates?

Does the four way fabric need to be stretched a little before gluing stones or should the stones be glued to the fabric without it being stretched at all?

The fabric does not need to be stretched before gluing. The E6000 is already flexible and stretchy, so works very well with skating dresses.

If you want something very close to swarovski - go with Maxima. I also use Priceless if I am doing something for a lower lever competition.

Do you know how to remove excess glue from the dress when stoning it? Should I use rubbing alcohol or acetone? Or is it a lost cause?
