What are some different ways you use your Tight End/H-Back in your Inside Zone scheme? I'm always trying to find better ways to Score Points and Have Fun.

if you would like to you can take your slip call abd turn it into a triple option all that would change is instead of stalk blocking with your inside WR he would release to the safety and the unblock man would become your pitch or pass read
@CoachMcKie7 жыл бұрын
+Tyler Padgett So you would turn it into a shovel type of play?
@tylerpadgett79997 жыл бұрын
Coach McKie no sir u slip him a crossed read the apex defender run it like a zone read if the apex defender takes the QB throw the 3 yard slip if he slays flat QB keeps and runs it will also show who has flats in the defense

hi coach play 2 we run out of 5 wide with our te... so same formation but the back put as a slot wr to the left which we call west.. the slot then runs an out and L runs a vert.. that completely removes the boundary safety.. we read the same front side inside linebacker but if he drops our qb hits the a or b gap based on the dt tech..... our te bends it slightly in towards the center and runs down the middle of the defense not field.. the defense formation you have drawn up is a 4 2 Falcon which means the field safety has to cover the field slot your F... the hung LB labeled as D is unblocked he is an edge rusher so to make sure the play gets off we don't drop the qb we just one step throw position and go.. if you know this look is coming from scouting we also tell our te to show as if he is blocking D for 1 second on his inside shoulder and the release down the middle...

Hey Coach, We didn't use any empty formations with a TE. I don't know why. Is that a good formation to use? What do you call the formation? I love your ideas. Keep them coming.

Coach McKie awesome watching your videos and i dont want to sound like im bashing concepts or ideas or game plans.. theres a million ways to get to the championship l.. plenty of paths work.. but yes we use a pro formation (te flanker) alot of teams think of a te as a wr we think of him as a running back. (thats a true running spread mentality) bc if you ran power he still blocks out as if he was the kickout guy, from depth..if your ran your zoro slip the te is your slip block ect.. the 5 wide with a te is a fantastic formation under 2 consents your qb can run.. and your tackles are decent.. i always start by drawing up a play vs zero coverage and working a progression of the front/box... 4-2..4-3 tight.. 4-1...3-2.. 3-3.

Hi Coach. I would be interested in knowing how you would apply these plays with a single safety look. I always find more people in the box than what you explain here so I am not sure how I would apply these concepts there.

Coach Marquez, Thanks for taking time out of your day to watch my video and leaving a compliment. I did a video on where I go over how I attack single high safeties here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmirc5-XnZ2ne5I

The video you recommended me is very nice. I also like to play screens although I try to make it a little different, trying to make it simple for the kids here in europe. What I wanted to know is how you do apply concepts with TE like the one in this video with a Single Safety Look. In most of the occassions when I have 6v6 in the box I would run the ball but with 7vs6 I usually run it reading the defense but I also want to add some funky stuff on the back side (where the two WRs are). I use the same concepts than from doubles but I wanted to know if you have something "extra"

Coach how often are you guys seeing a 33?
@CoachMcKie7 жыл бұрын
+Darren Grob Hey coach, about a third if the defenses we see are 3-3. I wish would could see more for down.

What program are you using to draw up your plays?

Coach Worke, I'm using the Hudl playbook feature.

Coach, do you worry about your R receiver getting called for blocking downfield on "Zelda Base Dump"?
@CoachMcKie6 жыл бұрын
Not at all coach. Only been called for that penalty 3 times in 3 years

Coach, against 3-3 are you usually having the backside Tackle man block/or "lock" on the backside DE? I've watched a handful of your videos and that's typically how I've seen you draw things up. Also, do you see a lot of 3-3 during your season? Seems that very typically your drawing plays against this type of defense. Thanks!
@CoachMcKie7 жыл бұрын
Coach Spires, We do play a ton of 3-4 and 3-3 Stack teams. I wish we played more Even front teams, but what can you do about that? I do like to lock on backside because it makes the read a little bit easier for the quarterback.
@bettendorfjordan7 жыл бұрын
The lock definitely gives the QB more time to read the secondary for an RPO versus if you didn't lock, the DE would potentially be running free right to the QB.
@andrewclarke30447 жыл бұрын
Coach Mckie Has 617/619 (Fade/Out) become a 3rd main quick game concept for you. I think it's a great route. Is not an RPO but I'll run a play action with our post/wheel Dropback pass. But instead of expanding to the flats, the h back will run a wheel and I'll have the slot run another post getting a double post look. On the seam RPO, if the LB Engages the box and the slot corner flyers to the seam I'm guessing the QB would throw the bubble. Do you use any 2x2 Wing or 3x1 Wing Formations. Where the tight end would still be in his tight on the line formation but be off the ball instead of on.
