Ground strokes we move laterally so we have to be able to change directions. Volleys are completely different. We’re moving forward and through the volley.

@@2MinuteTennis Then what I understand is you’re moving through your volleys or approach shots because you need to , because you’re supposed to move forward towards the net, not because you’re more balanced that way. Similarly you don’t move through your groundstrokes from the baseline because you’re supposed to stay at the baseline. Just thinking out loud, Ryan. You’re the boss!😀

​@@watcher687Not so much because we need to, more because we can. And on ground strokes we need a forward motion as well whenever possible. But we need to limit it in order to not land in no man's land afterwards. And ground strokes are way harder, we need more stability.
