When I was in high school football, I played OL. We were taught the same technique! What you call "the flipper" we called the "forearm shiver"! It was very effective.

Flipper? It is a forearm. I would teach it a little different than what is show at 4:30.

Wade berry flipper shouldn’t be taught at all. Kids try to block that way and it’s ineffective against evolving defensive techniques. They use the flipper and not their hands as a defender it’s super easy to slide off. I’m talking 1st-8th grade.

flipper aint bad when u going against some monsters and your undersized....if that hand transition is smoove than it's the ultimate weapon
