Tony Carr MBE is an English football coach and the current Director of Youth Development at West Ham United FC and is recognised as one of the most influential figures in English football.
A former graduate of the academy himself, whose footballing career was cut short by injury, he joined the club's staff as a youth coach in 1973. Since then in his tenure as director, as of 2010, Carr is credited with producing talent which has earned an estimated £80 million in transfer fees for the club, while the 23 man England squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup contained no less than seven players trained by Carr - Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole, Michael Carrick, Jermain Defoe, Glen Johnson and John Terry.
Carr was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2010 Birthday Honours for services to football.

I have heard a lot of good things regarding Tony Carr but this wasn't one of his better sessions surely?His assistant coach was struggling a bit and was much too negative and didn't praise the players enough even though they were quite poor throughout. Great teaching video once more though.

the session so dull.... look at the mood of the player... how can you improve the player if the session was very dull ..no session to enhance player creativity... the player only do what they asked to do...

It may seem dull but Tony is probably trying to develop their muscle memory and situational awareness.

Very true.. could only watch 3 minutes. England players lack creativity, confidence on the ball because they were brought up being made to play predictable passing football and not allowed to experiment and take risks. Even though the England DNA message at Grassroots is good the seniors still play this way and there's a reluctance by Southgate to trust more creative players like Grealish.
