Coalition Cabinet: Cyril Ramaphosa has a problem: Should he fire the minister of Justice?

The minister of Justice Thembi Simelane Nkandimeng is in trouble because
there is an appearance that she received a kickback for her municipality through a loan from a company that was facilitating deposits into VBS bank. She received R575 000 from a VBS fixer.
The is an appearance that she attempted to remove herself from the scandal by paying back the money in 2020 after an investigation was carried out on VBS mutual bank.
The president is in trouble because of the minister and this matter:
This is going to be the second big test of the DA and ANC coalition
The president is in trouble because if he does not act he may jeopardise the DA-ANC coalition.
He may also damage the narrative of his administration, the narrative being that the ANC is now in a period of renewal and the narrative that the DA and ANC coalition is an anti corruption administration.
He also has a risk of creating the impression if he does nothing that the DA has a group of clean ministers but the ANC has ministers who are impugned.

Jamie in short, she must be removed from her ministerial position and be investigated fully. 1) One must be independent in substance and also appear to be independent. The Minister’s ignorance is not a defence against the allegations. She must step aside. 2) Her statement is riddled with contradictions that she fails to address: if she wasn’t involved in the procurement process then how is she aware that Gundo was appointed as a service provider to the municipality? And what made her approach them if she didn’t know anything? Why would you approach a service provider for personal financial assistance? That is a conflict of interest! She also said that the service provider was not being paid by the Municipality so there was no conflict 😂. What service provider does work for free? 😂. They were being paid through negotiated fees on placing the investment at VBS. So that is not true. 3) Municipalities are not allowed by law to invest funds in Mutual Banks like VBS so that means they broke the law by appointing Gundo to facilitate the investment. So the Minister contravened the law there. 4)Gundo is not allowed by law to issue loans as they are not a registered credit provider. Why would the Minister not approach a bank to obtain a loan. R500k is not alot of money and she could have easily obtained a loan for such from any reputable bank. That also doesn’t make sense. 5) She didn’t pay the loan capital amount or interest in regular installments. Only when the VBS matter was about to blow up, did she make 3 hasty installments. That doesn’t cover up that the loan was not legitimate. Even when a loan capital amount is deferred, there are regular installments to pay interest. She did neither thus this was a soft loan which was a cover up for a bribe. This is a basic money laundering technique in financial crime. Interest free loans with no repayments are just ways to facilitate money being laundered in a criminal activity. She must be removed from office and prosecuted.

I hear you guys but I have one problem, how come white executives and politicians are never held accountable? I'm not concerned about this particular case because if money was involved it would be easy to solve it and that is if our law enforcement do their job. Remember we do have law enforcement and the courts who are more than capable to investigate and prosecute. My problem is why now and why does it look like only black professionals and executives are targeted? This is very worrying. I would recommend that the matter be reffered to the court for clarity as right now this looks like a political whitchhunt. The question is why? Well my theory, DA is power obsessed and very surgical in attacking and getting rid of anyone on their way. They want that ministry post. Go check their videos and their robust and aggressive hunger to get this ministry. In short, the ANC is sleeping with a snake and that snake has already started to bite. You will never hear them talk about Gouws, the racists who killed people and fed them to pigs, corrupt banks and huge corporate corruption mostly done by protected white executives.
