At 1:49 the horrified look on Schenkers face as a flat notes are played. He is such a perfectionist. That's the stuff that happens live when you have to sometimes drop down without changing guitars and play a song you wrote 40 years ago without proper marked frets on stage. Uli Jon Roth uses lighted frets for just that reason.

Judging by his speech at the start, I think he's taking the piss out of Rudolf - he constantly says that Rudolf can't play guitar properly, and this song is one of those that causes all the animosity between them.

Just so you know Michael's and Rudolf's sister told him what Rudolf was doing claiming Micheals songs as his own. Anyone else would be in court...all Michael did was say he would'nt help the scorpions with their box set. The more you look into it the more outraged you will be at the behavior of Rudolf... it is really inexcusable. I would be waaaayyyyy more mad about it.

Before you go and bust on Michael Schenker, do some research. He is trying to explain (In his best English) how his brother ripped him off. Example: The Lovedrive album. Michael played lead on 5 tracks and backing vocals on 6 tracks and his name is not on the album. Yet, Matthias got credit for playing lead on only 4 tracks. Another example: Coast to Coast was written by Michael, yet it says "Rudolf Schenker". Holiday was another song written by Michael and it says "Rudolf Schenker". Now, if you were to record a song written by your younger brother, wouldn't you have put his name on the song? And I know "it was a long time ago"...let it go! But that's a pretty crappy thing to do to your own brother. And BTW, Rudolf Schenker is nothing of a guitar player compared to Michael Schenker! Just my view.

I agree, credit where credit is due always and to think someone would treat their brother like that, its awful, i fully understand him being angry, i would be to. I do however think it might be negative for his populaity to project that anger in public to often.

Michael was always given credit on the U.S. versions of the 'Lovedrive' album. As far back as the early 80's I remember the band credits all gave Lead and Rhythm guitar credits to Rudolf, Michael and Matthias. What I do remember is the original credits did not say which songs Michael or Matthias played on.....but in the thank you section the band thanked Michael for playing lead guitar on the songs "Lovedrive", "Another Piece of Meat" and "Coast To Coast". Rudolf has maintained that "Coast To Coast" was his composition and not Michael's. He wanted to give Michael credit for adding a melody and solo but Dieter Dirks would not allow it. Instead of publishing Michael was given points per song. I am a huge Michael Schenker fan but people need to take much of what he says with a grain of salt. Michael was so wasted in the 80's that he probably remembers very little and business matters were not his thing. I also think Michael isn't the most honest guy in the world. Amazing musician with a great body of work, but he needs to put this behind him. The onstage rants about Rudolf come off as petty, absurd and jealous. I was at the Schenker fest in Richmond, Virginia in May of 2019 and he ranted on and on about Rudolf several times to the point it was awkward. Fortunately it was still a great show.

Man, I heard Michael's brother Rudolf play very bad versions of C2C (Rudolf ain't a great guitar player), but this one just took the cake. Also, Rudolf composed C2C, you just added the solos and licks. As much as mediocre Rudolf was as a guitar player, he was great as a composer and lyricist. But, of course, Jabs just reign above them when it comes to guitar playing, as long as we don't put Uli in the mix. Uli was on a whole other level.

Jabbs is basically a copy .. of Michael's lead blues style . He also copied many of EVH's guitar tricks in the 80's . he's nothing unqiue .

Schenker played only a few notes wrong in his entire UFO recording time...during the strangers in the night recordings the producer Ron Nevison would not let him fix it. So bye bye UFO...Also Michael OWNED 50% of the UFO name at that time so Phil Mogg could not perform. For quite a number of years Phil begged Schenker to let them play as UFO so he come make some money, Michael ever the nice guy with zero desire for money gave back the rights. A true artist, as long as Michael can eat a sandwich and stay someplace safe and dry he was good to go. Put Scorpions on the map, put UFO on the map and just moved on like he always does. PS he also does not really listen to any other music so he can be creative and true to his own vision.

Sorry, but Michael Schenker didn't put Scorpions on the map. He laid the groundwork with his compositions, yes, but Matthias Jabs just blew Scorpions off the face of this earth with his more poppy yet so technical virtuoso guitar playing. Scorpion's commercial success wouldn't be possible without Jabs.
