Thanks for watching! We had the best time dog sledding. The accident kind of added to the whole experience! Haha.

You were lucky to be in Alta during the Finnmark dog sled race. The cabin you stayed in is also in the same village as I live in (about 8 minutes away), so you have really found a lovely place to stay. "Saltsild" is really popular among children, and "Smash" is a really good chocolate that is loved by many. So good that you got to see the northern lights, even we who live here think it's magical. Welcome back to Alta!

We didn’t even plan it that way - just a very happy accident! Thank you for watching! We loved your city! 🫶🏻

You truly are professional travelers: even when going to Norway you bring your swimming gear. I like seeing happy animals and a happy Katrina. This video has it all. 1200km on a dogsled makes our Elfstedentocht look like a walk in the park. Next time somebody is having a chocolate fondue I'll bring a bag of Bugles. #tip

We were prepared for the hot tub! It really was one of the best days on that dog sled. We would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks for watching, Jan!

I have been to Alta once....very early February. It was DARK. :D But it was a full moon when we landed, and the fligth over the landscape to the airport!! Beatiful. :) I'm Norwegian and have been everywhere in this country, from Trondheim and south, west and east. But north of Fosen. Just Tromsø and Alta. :)

Alaska huskeys are generally LOVELY dogs. Now I have only two, but I think I have about 50. It's not actually a race, it's mixed raced dogs bred for pulling strength and speed. At least here in Norway. One of mine was actually just 50/50 Greyhound and Schnauzer. But it was still an "Alaska huskey". Most of them are lovely dogs. :)

If someone saw something like Bigfoot footprints crossing the dogsled trail, they were probably my snowshoe tracks. From time to time, they’re all over this place through the woods.

You can fly commercially to small airports north of Alta. Probably 10 places.

What happens to the dogs when they are too old to pull the sleds of tourists!?!?
@nateandkatrinadotheworld4 ай бұрын
They "retire" and are adopted to local homes. One of our dogs was retiring that month to spend her golden years just being a happy girl in a loving family.

For seing the northern light mid march is your best bet, and you're probably aware of that. Now I understand why you were in Oslo. Alta is in my opinion the ugliest city in Norway. Nice people, though.

Both of those statements are idiotic, meaning youre an idiot. The best time to see the borealis is when its the coldest (i.e least cloudy), so december - february, and Alta is a beautiful city, both in summer and winter. Suck it fool.
