Coastal Foraging | A Day on The Jurassic Coast

I woke up with a bit of a wine head on Sunday and decided the best treatment would be a day at the coats looking in the rock pools, having a fire, cooking up some winkles and enjoying a tasty beverage. I love the memories I get when I eat winkles, its like a culinary time machine!

That link with the past you mention is multi generational. I reckon I must be about twice your age , but as soon as you started the beach forage , then cooked and ate the winkles, it took me straight back to days with my granddad on the coast between Redcar and Tynemouth. He, and his brother, would cook up all manner of crabs and seafood in metal buckets or over the coals. Nice one Haze.

Great Vid yet again! I want one of those knives! Was the first to notice it after all! Love the mircata scales and colour but agree the handle should be narrower. Love the rest of the blade though, pretty much perfect for me! 😁 Grandad used to take me cockling and winkling too! Great memories.

Hey bud, did you see what tho as people/that person was doing by the tunnel? Lots of people seem to mistreat it. Also be careful over the sandy end, looks dodgy with Boeing walls. It looks like the area in thinking of, anyway. You'll get the hunt of so.
