Six Flags Great America released this POV of their new-for-2019 S&S compressed air launch coaster that features five inversions, including the world's tallest double inversion at 175 feet (53m), the fastest launch in North America going from 0-78 mph (0-125.5 km/h) in 2 seconds as well as the world's fastest inversion at 60 mph (96.5 km/h)!

@Gene Bone I don't know if they have restrictions on height, but they definitely can build a good coaster, ala a Goliath but longer and yes, slightly taller. As much as I hate to say this, demolishing AE might be the way to go. It's a historic ride and all but it's clearly falling apart, extremely rough and I don't see it lasting for an insanely long time. It's either that, Viper, or Superman

Nah the speed of acceleration isn't what makes the TTD/Ka acceleration so good, it's the fact that it keeps going faster when you feel like it REALLY needs to stop going faster. Somewhere around the 100mph mark is panic inducing in a way that this ride just doesn't do for me

i went to a field trip at six flags (keep in mind i was TERRIFIED of rollercoasters), and this was the first one we decided to go on. i was absolutely terrified the entire time i was in line, but this roller coaster was absolutely amazing and i have zero regrets going on it !!

After leaving the station, the train pulls forward into the launch area. The train sits in place for a moment, before launching out of the area at a speed of 0 to 78 mph in just 1.8 seconds. It then goes into a "dog tongue" double inversion at 60 mph, and exits while turning to the right. It then goes into a corkscrew, and then up into a "Dive Roll", before returning to the station.

I actually like how S&S has their own "track" look and everything now. Just like a B&M or Intamin or Arrow, now you know the "look and feel" of a S&S coaster the more and more they build. That company is really coming into form, I think in 5-10 years they will be one of the most respected names in the amusement industry.

I got to ride this last week (7/5/2019). The launch is intense and the ride stays that way throughout. It's so twisty. It fits well into the limited space that was available. It's a unique coaster for the park, so that's nice. There's a dumb cannon noise that happens after the tunnel. You can't hear on the ride, but it can be heard all over that part of the park. Sounds like a dumpster being dropped from 10 feet up. Hope they ditch that effect. The ride queue is not completed, so the line just went out into the main walking area. Hopefully they'll put some canopies over the queue or else the sun will bake those waiting. The landscaping is nowhere near done, so it still feels like it's all under construction. The wait time was less than an hour near the end of the day when we rode it, but that will go up exponentially when the park is really crowded.

Okay which would give you more of a thrill this or the top thrill dragster? It takes 4 seconds for dragster to reach 120 mph but it only takes 2 seconds for maxx force to reach 78 mph.
