I have ridden primordial twice and got dragon endings, it definitely has really great theme to it and it’s a lot better then I expected

It wont. Ive been told the inside finishing will take a year alone by itself. So with the outside not anywhere near done there isnt a chance for it to be done next year.

It would be funny if SRC1 opens on July 2nd 2023 which would of been the exact date that cannibal opened in 2015 but I’m guessing it is possible, I’m hoping that it opens sometime in June of 2023

I liked the name Primordial I wish they would keep it but lagoon has five names for the ride and they said when the ride is finished they’ll pick a name that fits the best for it

The rockwork on the front of the ride looks to be finished but there’s still scaffolding on to so they still might detail it more, once we start seeing more supports being installing then we should start seeing the rest of the outdoor tracks being installed, The tracks will most likely be installed sometime this year, Maybe in mid or the end of summer

The rest of the outdoor track won't go up until near the end of all scenery work on the outside. It takes no time to install the track and columns.

I wouldn't expect the outside tracks to be installed until the rock work on the front of the mountain is in its finished or near finished state so they don't have to work around the track. I suspect there will be themeing further out from the mountain that had not begun yet, of which we might see the support columns installed during the theming install but the track being one of the last piece put in place.

@@utahcoasterenthusiasts The front of the mountain is near finished right now, they still have scaffolding on it so I’m guessing they might put more details in the rockwork or something. They first have to install the supports before installing the track of course

They say the ride will have a big waterfall bigger then cannibal’s right near the lift hill which will be really cool

Yup. That was known with the footings which showed evidence of a future water fall. It will be right on the south west side by the lift.

I’m going to guess lagoon would probably build another new roller coaster in a few or couple years after primordial opens up. I’m hoping for another thrilling and intense roller coaster much like cannibal. In the future lagoon could possibly build a roller coaster that is even better then cannibal

I suspect we see the next big project begin 3 or 4 years after SRC1 opens. I would love to see a Chance Hyper GTX be built where DTR is.

Did the Covid 19 pandemic effect or slow down other roller coasters under construction in 2020? Or is SRC1 the only ride that got slowed down cause of Covid

Yup. Only 1 of the 2020 coasters opened in 2020. The rest opened in 2021 or 2022.

They will probably do some of the artificial rockwork on the inside of the mountain so it looks more realistic while your inside the mountain and not just on the outside.

More scaffolding and mesh for the rockwork is really coming up on the north end of the ride right now, where they haven’t done any rockwork at all. The south end of the rockwork looks finished

The two drop towers on primordial are both the same exact height as wonder mountains guardian, they’re both 30 feet high. I’m guessing that the ride will choose which drop tower it will send you down, it will have a switch track on the mid floor where it leads you to the drop towers

Even if Covid 19 never hit in 2020 the ride probably still wouldn’t have opened in 2021 it probably would’ve opened early this year

Looks like there is a 98% chance that the ride will open next summer of 2023 I don’t see how the ride could get pushed to 2024 because the ride looks like it’s about 78% done

I just wish they would announce the new name for it, I can’t think of what name would fit the best for it I’m not good at all at making up names but the name would have to deal with a mountain first of all, I’m just going to call it Primordial for now until we know the new name for it. Does the name primordial do anything with a mountain?
