Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast Review HD Six Flags Over Texas

What's my opinion of Six Flags Over Texas's Premier Rides launched coaster? Here I will review the ride with several categories in mind, and at the end of the video I will give the coaster a final score out of 10 for how good it is.

The actual track reaches 236' according to Six Flags. The back of the train is what reaches 218'.

I live in stl, I never understood why the track is red for the one in Texas. our blue track makes a lot more sense for the theme because Blue is a cold color and it matches up to Mr.Freeze in my opinion.

I love this coaster! I love how when you are hanging on the spike it feels like you've been hanging for a really long time when it's only a few seconds!!

According to Six Flags Over Texas, the tower itself is actually 236 feet, and the back train hits 218 feet. I'd assume that the front train hits the 180 to 185 foot mark :)

This is my favorite ride by far. Titan is a close second, but Mr. Freeze is such a phenomenal coaster. It’s my go to first coaster ride every time we go to six flags. Texas giant is my 3rd favorite. A little rough, but front car down that first drop is the best experience

I have ridden the one at St Louis many times since I was tall enough and rode it. That's because Six Flags St Louis is my home park. I'll be sure to use this review for it.

What I found interesting (which I never noticed before) after I rode the one at Six Flags St Louis, I found out that you actually pull 4.5 Gs going into the top hat.

There's a major difference besides the paint.the one at SFOT launches from the right into the inverted top hat. The other one launches you from the left

Excellent review, great rating. Mr. Freeze opened in 1998, following the release of Batman & Robin (1997). This roller coaster came at time when the Batman animated series was in full swing, and had just reintroduced Mr. Freeze in one of the most highly rated episodes "Heart of Ice." This would later be followed up with an entire direct-to-video movie, Batman & Mr. Freeze: Subzero, which was based on the TV show. So Warner Brothers and DC Comics were doing a lot with this character at the time. This roller coaster is unique on so many levels... The presentation of it is clever and intimidating, like a good Batman villain should be. Firstly, the track design is amazing. It's a big, tall, sweeping roller coaster while Batman: The Ride is a more cramped, and compact design. The first thing that is likely to catch your attention is the sound. The track must be hollow, because it has the fiercest, roaring trains I've ever heard. You can hear them from pretty much anywhere in the park, which adds to its mystique. You're likely to see the giant overbanked turn towering over the tree line as you walk through Boomtown. The queue line is themed like an abandoned ice cream factory. Walking up to the loading station, you see something pretty awesome. Dual trains switching back and forth, and launching 0-70mph in 3.8 seconds - all of which is just interesting to watch in itself. It must be awesome being a ride operator for Mr. Freeze. IMO, the overall ride experience is top notch. Its very intimidating at face value, but the actual ride is smooth, fun, and pretty tame compared to Batman: The Ride. Since the ride is short, the line isn't too long during peak hours and since the line is enclosed at least it offers some shade. Its a great ride, a perfect blend of speed, power, intensity, and fun.

***** It really is not bad. It's steep, but the forces are strong but tolerable. Now please note that this is coming from someone who has ridden it many times and is used to it. Did you ride this coaster yet?

I'll review Goliath for you right now. It's incredible. One of the best rides I've ever rode and I've been on a lot more rides then this kid to base it on (no offense to the kid doing the videos). It's almost flawless. The only gripe I have is its a BIT too short. I wish it had another maybe 20 seconds. I'll tell you this though, what it does has, it packs a wallop. It absolutely blew me away and I had HUGE expectations. It surpassed them. Anyone who's never rode it or been to SFGAm, it's worth the trip. Trust me.

Not really. Launched coasters seem rough because of their speed and rapid transitions. Mr. Freeze is one of the best coasters in the country and is one of the smoothest I've ridden.

I agree that Mr. Freeze RB is a great coaster. It is one of my favorites. The thing is I liked it even better when the seats faced forward. When Six Flags reconfigured the ride they said they would have the front half of the seats face forward and the rear half of the seats face backward. That would have been great because there would be two ways to experience the same ride. I don't know why but instead they turned all of the seats around.

Catty Patty for a lot of people (mainly enthusiasts like me) no roller coaster is scary. However, I can't tell you how anyone else would feel about it. Just going for it is a great way to get rid of the fear factor.
