Liquor stores in America don't even carry Russian Standard vodka anymore. An American theme park is NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER going to buy a roller coaster from a Russian manufacturer. It's never going to happen. Maintenance is going to be a nightmare with the sanctions.

I just went this Saturday to ride this beast, the ride op told me it costs them 20$ to let it run once which is crazy and probably the reason why it will close. And the Seatbelts are very much EOL, they are falling apart. Also i love that you guys had the same operator as i had, it is probably his "baby". I was lucky to ride everything 2-3 times and get 13 rides on wild train in 3 hourse (the ride op said we could stay seated). I even saw 2 thoosies with a hyperia and a gothem city shirt :) Its funny that i am austrian, but havent went to fantasiana in the last 12 years until this saturday, back then i wasnt a thoosie and i didnt ride wild train. I honestly loved my stay and will probably visit it 2-3 times next year with the new mack :)

Would be a good addition to smaller parks that may generally rely on the European Fair Circut to purchase a lot of their coasters (nudge nudge...Knobles). Especially if it could be modified to have a chain lift and anti-rollbacks.

The reason why Fantasiana got this ride instead of something else is that they wanted something that hadn’t been seen before and wasn’t too expensive. One day, the park owners went to the IAAPA Expo and discovered PAX. As soon as they saw the layout PAX had designed for them, they bought it, not expecting it to turn out like this. Another reason I think it's getting removed is that it just doesn’t fit in the park anymore. In recent years, Fantasiana has focused much more on theming and the overall experience, and because of that, Wild Train now stands out in a negative way. It would be too late to completely retheme this ride when they could simply get a new and better one.

I was so excited that this was really close to the route of an already planned Eurotrip last month, and thank you guys and all the other hardcore enthusiasts that made sure I knew I needed to stop there. Even with perfect weather, operations were lackadaisical. We got there about 1pm and there was a sign that said they would reopen around 3pm, just because the operator didn't feel like it or was on a lunch break or something. My girlfriend did not appreciate the the front row ejector as much as I did, though... but she was a trooper and rode it multiple times with me anyway!

@RayBcv10302 ай бұрын
Sadly from what I heard, this coaster is getting scrapped. Apparently the reason why it's leaving is because it's difficult for the park to get parts for it since it's hard for shipments from Russia to get into Austria. As such, a lot of Wild Train's parts are essentially on their last legs. So if it were to be sold, A LOT of work would be needed to keep Wild Train going. Making it not worth selling.

I had the 'pleasure' of riding this thing last summer. I rode it twice in the back, once in the front, and once in the middle. My entire body hurt afterwards-it’s such a janky and rough ride. At one point, while riding in the front row, my head was thrown back so suddenly that, for a moment, I thought something cracked in my neck. I really can't understand the praise for this roller coaster, and I’ll be glad when it’s finally gone. And… this thing could ruin roller coasters for your kid for life. If it had been the first roller coaster I ever rode as a kid, I don’t think I would have ever gone on one again. Strangely, the 10 year old I rode this with, enjoyed it though ;-).

Strongly disgree. It was my very first coaster back then, and it was awesome. Now I am at 100 coasters all over europe and still counting. Looking at your footage of this compared to the others, this might be more wild because the train is shorter. I know the same can be said of Vekoma's SLCs. The shorter trains provided more violent ride than the longer trains. Back when they opened, I rode Hangman at Opryland and then T2 at Kentucky Kingdom the next day. Same ride but two completely different experiences. So that might be the case here. IMO.
