How could you miss out on a detour to Whifflet? My old stamping ground … “Up the Street” as we used to call the Main Street was almost a foreign country! I remember when ASDA first opened - across from the Whimpy Bar! And the Mint was the trendiest bar in town - the old Royal Bank with the wooden revolving doors.
