Lola climbing on the ceiling while Gabby talks about the discrepancy of permit requirements really underscores the point she's making XD She's a cutie, but it's like a toddler with knives for hands and teeth. I really appreciate how you educate on the exotic ‘pet’ market and what poor pets these wild animals make. And even more so that the amount of room and stimulation they require is far more than what is required by law. I despise seeing big cats or bears for example in tiny cage with nothing to do and it makes me sick to see how shut down they become.

The sunshine really shows the gorgeous colouring of the foxes, and you are so right their coats belong on them. Your regular reminders about how abusive the fox fur trade is are always welcome as they help educate. Some people might wrongly assume they are humanely killed, the reality as you kindly explain is very different. Gemixt met t idee van die dakraam gordijnen die een gootje hebben aan de zijkant waar die invalt.. Maar meer het idee van een oprolbaar scherm met die mechanismen als een voorbeeld maar vervang het scherm met een zijl

An automated system for the tarps that is being suggested would probably be very expensive even if you could engineer it. But what about the something like of side curtains like on large rental tents? You could run ropes or cables between the corner posts and hang tarps that could be pulled open and shut like tent walls. Or even rolled up and tied under the eaves. You can even order taps cut to size and with grommets and hooks already installed from a custom canvas places. Merely a thought. No need to explain if it's not feasible. I know you will do the best you can.
@keldaMouse2 ай бұрын
these are all great ideas. I like the rolled up section idea for leaving large panels being able to roll up. We need a company or engineer's input. :). I would love to get someone connected to help. I'm just not connected. :)

wildlife love lemons, lemon tree leaves and the bark. Squirrels, raccoons, opossums, mice, deer and some birds enjoy helping themselves to the lemon trees. lol! As far as the birds, many different types of wild birds like sipping the juice from the fruit, even before the lemons are ripe.

CoCo is so verbal and cute. My uncle s a retired electrical contractor actually a Jack of all trades AND Master of all of them. He would most definitely help you (he is in Kansas) but he was taught how to do blood dialysis with the machines they use at kidney dialysis clinics but he does it in their home. He set up a spare bedroom for my aunt is kidney dialysis three times a week sometimes four and they taught him how to do it, and he caught on really well but that limits his freedom because each session takes hours and then there’s so much involved a lot more than people know. So he can’t leave except he could on weekends, but he couldn’t leave her to her own devices. She’s pretty much dependent on him. She just had her leg amputated, but if you need advice, I could ask him if he would be willing to look over things with you and give you advice. He loves to tell people how they could do things well that sounds kind of bossy and he loves to teach people how to be a way to put it.

I was visited/ran into Maru-san almost every day and he was very cute, but other than a few times my neighbors had me over and he invited himself in and cuddled next to me, I kept a safe distance. I’d heard horror stories about them but Maru-san was very, very friendly.

Can you run some foam insulation panels around the outside of the tortoise house? Would that help retain heat? And I can't believe so much training is needed for class 2 animals. That's 25 work weeks. 25 weeks of 40 hours per week. It seems like a lot of people who have these animals have not completed that much training. So probably not licensed. Glad you are educating the public. And lastly, on the bird tarps... I thought something like a pool liner roll mounted at the top outside of the cages on each side. You could pull it down to connect with magnets on the ground when needed, then roll it up when not needed. Like huge window blinds.

I understand “running around wild” as a concept. I’ve definitely seen it in dogs and not just wild dogs. Pet dogs without supervision have been known to pack up, run wild and kill other animals. I could go out on a limb and include unsupervised free range children, lol. The happy “I’m being loved”noises from Poppy are so cute. It probably doesn’t make you feel better, but I like algae ponds! The green is beautiful,and it seems more natural. I had no idea emus could handle snow…amazing fluffy Dino’s. The foxes are gorgeous in their huge soft puffy coats. I’ll not go into the irony of it being impossible to be cruel to agricultural animals. Disgusting. Never gave worn fur and never will. As a teen I had a parakeet whom I allowed to fly in my room…more and my mother would have had a hissy fit. If I were to rescue now, I’d make sure they had a small flock and a big area where they could live and fly. Sierra is, I think, less skittish…still scared but doing better.

You can tell he’s happy because his tail is always wagging. Every time I hear the story of the fox farm, my heart breaks. I’m glad you keep reminding people of the horrific fur industry. I remember you telling how prairie dogs are caught in the wild for the pet trade. Another disgusting behavior by humans against wildlife. I think that’s why I avoid people as much as possible. I’m much happier around animals. God bless you and Gabby. Hope everyone has a blessed week ahead. Hugs from Tennessee.

Lime many places in Africa don't protect creatures. Its a free for all. Its really disturbing. There's a couple of orgs that try to get them too and help animals. The one helping bears from bear bile farms are awesome...what they do to bears raised for bear bike in Asia at small farms is even worse if you can imagine...its a painful long life of serious abuse.
