Mitch, your drywall instruction videos are far superior to anyone else's. You speak clearly and demonstrate very well. I hope other youtube D-I-Y-ers find your videos before wasting time watching countless other mediocre videos like I have!

Hi Mitch awesome video but I was just wondering what is the final 1% is it just a skim coat?
@drywallinstruction17668 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert, It's almost inevitable that the mud will shrink and sometimes leave small divots in the sanded product. Yes, this is simply remedied by doing a quick skim coat, putting the mud on and wiping it tight. Check out our progress @ Drywallinstruction.com!

And can I use the topping compound to touch it up at the end after sanding?
@drywallinstruction17668 жыл бұрын
Robert Vargas You'll absolutely use topping. Remember that after applying the tape everything is Topping until the texture phase.

I'm just trying to do one wall just flat

What you're trying to accomplish is "smooth wall". In many areas it's common to add texture once you get your walls smooth. You can see examples of texture @ my website - Drywallinstruction.com.
