She raises an eyebrow, smirks, and closes the gap with her quarry at lightning speed. Pop, pop. They go down. She hadn't even broken a sweat. As her hands unclench and the tension releases, like a wave, her mind is still and awash with all that her quarry is; their very soul and its every secret open for Ioun to read. Ioun is pleased. The monk has done her duty and will keep this knowledge in the annals of all time. She is: Beauregard Lionett.
This piece was inspired by the titular character in the #DnD show: @Critical Role, played #live on #twitch by Marisha Ray. She is accompanied by the esteemed cast: Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, Travis Willigham, Taliesin Jaffe, Liam O'brien, Sam Riegel, & Ashley Johnson - telling fantastic stories in the world of Exandria, presently in the #Wildemount setting. So, this is the vision I see when listening to this. 𝟬:𝟬𝟬 - 𝟬:𝟭𝟱 = Beau sitting down to meditate, her jaw clenching a bit at first. 𝟬:𝟭𝟲 - 𝟬:𝟮𝟴 = We open with Beau's family vineyard, panning up to the manor 𝟬:𝟮𝟵 - 𝟬:𝟱𝟴 = The strife shown between Beau and her dad. Culminates in her getting dragged out by the Cobalt Soul. 𝟬:𝟱𝟵 - 𝟭:𝟯𝟯 = Training areas of the Cobalt Soul monks (stacatto, percussive sound) and Beau doing menial errands and getting disciplined (more flowing orchestral instruments) 𝟭:𝟯𝟰 - 𝟮:𝟬𝟵 = Beau trying to mimic the movements she's seen the others use while she's in her sparse room. She's falling, and messing up, until about 𝟮:𝟬𝟱 and then we see her executing with more precision. This could also be a little bit of an age/season montage. 𝟮:𝟭𝟬 - 𝟮:𝟱𝟲 = Beau is finally sparring other students. She's doing well for herself until about 𝟮:𝟯𝟮 when the instructor either steps in themself, or signals their star pupil to fight. Beau is consistently on defense for a long time, until 𝟮:𝟰𝟵. This is when it "clicks" to her, and she delivers her first 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙠𝙚. She doesn't realize what she's done, and starts hammering away. Then the instructor calls a halt to the fight. 𝟮:𝟱𝟳 - 𝟰:𝟯𝟮 = I don't have a super clear image in my head for this, but probably a montage of Beau actually trying hard to be good at her job. Small moments of her studying so hard, and then sleeping past when she should as a result. A big part of this would be her receiving her official robes/attire she starts C2 with. 𝟰:𝟯𝟯 - 𝗘𝗡𝗗 = Beau comes out of her meditation, smiling, and then goes to join the rest of the Mighty Nein for plans and pocket bacon.

I love how this has such an oriental melody to it (as befits a martial arts monk theme) but still has enough of a bend towards the sorta fusiony space that is Eastern European cultures that is so indicative of the Northwest of Wildemount that it doesn't feel out of place amongst the Dwendalian Empire themes and motifs.
