I got one of these man. My tip to you is to have it fixed before you do any mods. Most likely it'll just be things like ebrake cables, rear calipers, timing chain, and intercooler pump, hopefully you don't need coils. These are all common issues and held me back with my mod plans. I recommend ZZP also, they have some good shit.

Arlu I’m so greatful to encounter your videos! I just bought a 2008 cobalt SS t/c and it’s amazing. Sucks with everything going on, I haven’t been able to register yet. your vids encouraged me to save up for a while to get one, my wife already loved these cars and you both inspired me to get this car! It’s my first manual and boosted car ever and it is an absolute blast to have one. I used to want a bugeye wrx but with all the stuff these cobalts have and the looks, I definitely love them!

The turbocharged version that you got of the Cobalt can be made faster that S/C version which such little money man. WRX are nice but I think you made a better decision tbh (I have beat so many WRX lol) Hope you enjoy the car man it is a blast to have and apart from that they are super reliable! Keep me updated on how it goes, hopefully you get to register it soon!

I have a 08 cobalt tc and its a beast I have full bolt ons just lacking the tune its a dope car just watch out with driving it too much on low fuel those fuel pumps suck n expensive but other than that its a dope whip take care of it and if you buy mods buy zzp for most if not all your mods

I have a 05 cobalt, it's the base 4 door with the 2.2 but I've added a header, exaust and a k&n air filter, I'm hoping to add stage 2 cams, a stage 2 ported cylinder head, and rebuild the bottom end next year.

Nice runs bro I love the sound the supercharged model makes. I know it's very hard not to race or do some pulls But fix the car It's better to fix the issue while it's small Than have it blow up and then you're really gonna regret it

I have an 07 cobalt ss with the new ldk block from zzp and ofcourse with the new motor i went ahead and install zzp stage 3 kit with 2.9in pulley and intake and exhaust...thing runs beautiful

If you're doing the water pump, you should do your timing/balance chains if you're over 100k miles, you're gonna have access to the timing case anyway, just a suggestion

Idk if the water pump was ever changed in this car, I got it when it had over 100k miles though. I actually meant the supercharger intercooler pump, I am sorry for the confusion

My SC had the same problem, i changed out the plugs for Ngk 2step colder with Oem coil packs also cleaned the maf. How i fixed my misfire/bogging issue.

That's my next step, just changed the intercooler water pump to see if that was one of the issues. Thanks for the feedback though! definitely my next step already have some coming in 👍

Yo fix your intercooler pump and your down pipe and you'll gap that truck! I have a stage 3 Lsj and that supercharger whine is SOOOO ADDICTIVE!!!! Do you have any additional mods done to your car?

I think that should do it lol. I was shifting early and the misfire was so bad. Nice, with ZZP? super addicting. Just Intake, Downpipe and tuned for 93 octane that is it. More mods coming soon :)

Don't forget the Option B tank! It really helps keeping intake temps down.

lol if you look on the forums you'll read people say that the zzp s3 kit is barely faster than GM's s2 kit. Just goes to show you how important that tune is. I have the GM kit, but I definitely plan on getting that s3 along with other suspension mods. I recommend the ZZP rear sway bar trust me you won't regret it.
