I'm always excited about different pigments. PIgments formed in kilns used in ceramic glazing really amaze me. I'm so happy that you keep on exploring and sharing these interesting progress with us.

I’d Love to this mixed into some lemon yellows, may make them a nice light lime to almost fluorescent yellow.

Really a gorgeous colour! Thanks again for these videos; watching your process and listening to you describe it all is really wonderful. I wish the best to you and yours, especially in current times.

I don't know if this color is a slightly different shade than cobalt titanate but copper carbonate is definitely a mint green color. Just add sodium bicarbonate to copper sulfate (dissolved in water).

Thank you!

It's actually nontoxic which is quite surprising for a cobalt compound.

I love these videos man! They are helping a lot during these times, thank you very much. I don’t know how the situation is in Australia but I hope you and your family are doing alright, be careful and take care. I’ve started reading Artists’ Pigments: A Handbook of Their History and Characteristics. I’ve managed to find first 3 volume’s pdf versions but couldn’t find vol. 4 anywhere in the internet. Anyway, I think you might already heard about these books, they are really amazing. I’m reading lead teroxide right now

Cheers. Things are ok here in Australia so far so hopefully we can stay on top off everything. I also have not be able to get a copy of volume 4 it doesn't seem to have a PDF available any where.

The Alchemical Arts The Alchemical Arts I’ve sent a message to book’s author and editor, Barbara Berrie (person who shared the other 3 volume online) about whether she has the pdf and ask her to send me a copy of it if she can. I’m not so sure that she will answer me back but you might ask her as well, it’s more possible that she can share the pdf with you since you can use it for academic purposes

This would be lovely on black paper. I’m learning about watercolours. Can I ask, would this be a lake color?

It seems like pigment catains titanum usually appears oapaque, isn't it right?
@TheAlchemicalArts4 жыл бұрын
Yeh titanium makes things very opaque which can be really nice.

Hi I just subscribed but could not you on etsy or Facebook. I would like to find you on etsy. Do you make natural pigments like lapis
Thank you, I currently don't make lapis pigments but plan on it in the future

Can you tell us since you no longer sell on Etsy (I just checked, 01 April 2024) if you offer your pigments for sale anymore, or not?

What the concentration of cobalt salt titanium dioxide and lye used. What the grams used?
@TheAlchemicalArts3 жыл бұрын
I will have to look up my notes but from memory it's around 4g of Cobalt to about 12-15g titanium and the lye just needs to be in excess of the Cobalt to ensure it all precipitates out.

Would they react at 300 deg if heated longer? Do u need a kiln.
@TheAlchemicalArts3 жыл бұрын
@@chanheosican6636 ummm I don't think so I believe that it needs to be up around the 750-850 degree mark. It might work at a lower temp but it may take a very long time but I am not sure.
