You have way too much air coming out the muzzle! You need a muzzle break or just drill holes on the sides of the brass. I do believe blastertechs scar has air ports but I'd make them larger for your application. Great build!

You should get a white cheek rest over your metal tank/stock. Does the tank get cold?
@cobbabuilds6 жыл бұрын
The tank does get a little chilly haha. A cover would be cool 🤔

Try using 13mm inner diameter brass. I stopped using 17/32 brass because all the darts out of Asia suffer from feed issues, especially worker darts. Look on eBay for 14mm outer diameter brass with a 1mm wall. I get 12mm/14mm/16mm brass with the 1mm wall and it seriously works better. 16mm for scars, 14mm for barrel, 12mm for dart pusher... Just out of curiosity, what air pressure are you getting through the barrel, not at the tank? I rigged up an old tyre pressure gauge to check mine.

Is fitting the spexbz really as simple as jamming it into the stock and connecting the barrel?

I got a prophecy a couple of months before the video where yours broke, mine came with the same metal bolt sled pins as your new pump kit and with spares too, weird you got weak plastic ones. Been super happy with mine, your new kit colours are so good though kind of worth it breaking.

That's what I thought too, meant to happen. onwards and upwards :)

Have you considered a 9/16" breech with a tiny section of reamed 17/32" for a more reliable feed?

So awesome so inspiring

How did you secure the air tank in the stock? Is it just held in place by the barrel? My prophecy is coming in next week and eventually want to attach a spexbzv3 to it

I think you should have a clear breaching barrel with clear shell body to help you diagnose problems easier 🤙

Hypothetical: could I put a similar setup to this into a Raider? It already has the pump kit built-in, and (unlike the Rampage) it's reverse-plunger so no one will miss it if I screw it up...plus I have at least four of them.
@benrussell9176 жыл бұрын
Hey mate might have missed it but did the body kit need any work to keep it in place on the prophecy? Or does the rear shell get held in place between the stock and front shell?
@cobbabuilds6 жыл бұрын
Ben Russell everything just slides on, just a few screws to hold them in place.

You understand you can be charged just for having this video up and face jail time for making this? HPA blasters are illegal in Australia. Aside from that it looks great, the body kit looks awesome, pity it's a bit overpriced.
@cobbabuilds6 жыл бұрын
yeah, right'o hahahaha.
@pyschohippymofo6 жыл бұрын
Hahaha, contact the firearms registry in your state if you don't believe me. You can be charged just for having an unregistered firearm in a photo. HPA blasters are classified as firearms.
@cobbabuilds6 жыл бұрын
Our group has, multiple times and we are fine to keep using them. The only way we can get them taken off us is if an officer deems them to be under ‘imitation firearms’. We have had the police show up to a couple of our events and as soon as we show them the darts, they leave. We have done the research, i just find it funny that people always try to hate on them and call it illegal
@pyschohippymofo6 жыл бұрын
Firstly I'm not attacking you or your content but I doubt your group has contacted the firearms registrar in your state or even the local police. It's not deemed an imitation firearm, it's a firearm based on build and function. The classifications are different for imitation firearms which further suggests you haven't talked to anyone or done your research. I don't hate HPA blasters but calling them illegal is kinda stating the fucking obvious at this point. Here are some quotes from the firearms registry of SA (This is regarding national legislation so it's the same for all states, but some have much more strict state laws in terms of 3d printing and metal parts). "If a modification were made to a Nerf / gel ball blaster or any item to allow it to fire by means of gas or air, the item would then be defined as a firearm and would need to be licensed and registered as such and meet all requirements of the Act. It would potentially also be considered a home-made firearm which carries a high penalty under the Act." "Any item modified to fire by gas / air / propellent etc is considered a firearm" "the definition of a firearm is quite simple. If it fires by means of compressed air / gas, it is a firearm, same as air soft, air rifles and paintball markers." Posing with firearms falls under the summary offenses act IIRC.

I know you're not attacking me, but having Spectre in your nerf group, means stuff has been researched. We have done the proper stuff (by QLD law) we are safe. It comes down to the projectiles here, not really its propulsion meck.
