There’s gotta be a downpipe on that vb. No way Cobb is making an exhaust that sounds like that without any help

Our VB has additional parts outside of the exhaust - intake, fmic, bypass valve, intake, and a tune.

It's their mic placement. It's a very quiet exhaust otherwise.

@@ZPOLLAK Mic placement does play a big part in this. Its a very difficult thing to get the entire industry to put the mic in the same place when testing / advertising

@3:28 you can pretty clearly see that it is not mating up to a stock downpipe/intermediate pipe. There is more exhaust work done on this car from the looks/sounds of it

The AWE exhaust was a bit louder on both cold starts and driving. The sound of both is wonderful however.

All aftermarket exhausts tend to have some drone, we find that this Cobb unit is tame in comparison to a lot of other options on the market!

This is kind of an ignorant thing to say. Let me guess…you are younger than 28 years old right? Lol reason why I say that is because you youngsters love to compare all these nice, fast, new cars, to Subarus today, and put Subaru down for not being as “tuner friendly” or “fast” in comparison. Thing about your ignorance is that you never lived through the late 90’s to 2010 era enough to appreciate what Subaru did for the tuner community. During that time, the Subaru STI, and Mitsubishi EVO, was basically KING! It was the fastest thing you could get, and in that day of age, when turbo cars weren’t normal, and tuning was limited to slow ass N/A Honda’s, the STI was absolutely destroying everything else! Nobody complained that it couldn’t get past 450whp without “having an engine rebuild”. Subaru literally is the reason WHY there are so many fast, turbo tuner cars out there today! It was the mainstream car that EVERYBODY wanted! Now you ignorant kids love to bash on it because your 2.0l turbo hothatch can be way faster and more reliable. That’s true, but you can’t fault Subaru. They had their time, and it was a long time that they had! And let’s not forget Subaru’s legendary AWD system…a system that almost every single manufacturer has TAKEN NOTE of when they started building their AWD cars! The STI’s AWD is still probably one of the best, if not the best, AWD systems out there today. Just because the engine is old tech doesn’t mean you kids have to bash them. Learn your history before you decide to become ignorant flies…

Besides them doing the whole greenspeed thing, which complies completely with CARB regulation, screwing over everyone else not in California that uses the tuning platform, they do deceptive shit like when they kept selling flex fuel kits even though they had planned obsolescence, so then people that bought them were faced with the inconvenience of having to return them, or just eat the $700. Not to mention they did the exact same shit with their non-carb compliant exhaust parts. The list goes on…
