the big spiral ivory behind the trone is from a Narhval. the danish kings sold them as unicorn horns :D

The elephant is an old heraldic symbol of wisdom, strength, spirituality and good fortune, the various symbols used in heraldry all have meanings behind them, they're not used because someone once thought they looked cool as people today might think. But were used to convey a message, the origins of the heraldic symbols was to distinguish people on the battlefield, so the first were often just geometric shapes and patterns, circles, chevrons, bars.

@@vrenak The Elephant imagery was an unexpected point of interest for sure. We started looking for it once we realized it was depicted in so much.

Greetings from a local 😁 ! Been to Rosenborg Castle several times. ❤ your VLOG (Really GOOD research) 👍 ! FYI ! The Barracks next door to the Castle; is home to Soldiers of the Royal Lifeguards, when in Copenhagen (otherwise, there stationed North of Copenhagen, doing Infantry stuff☺) . They have TWO jobs, apart from that 😀 ! Protecting Amalienborg Palace (Home of our Royal Family) and Guarding the Royal jewels at Rosenborg! And " they´re loaded for Bear 🤣" !!

Great to see You enjoyed Rosenborg. You got most of the facts right, however the order of the elephant is not for everybody. Only members of the Royal family and foreign kings and presidents (it is not a military order or medal)
