TOG stands for The Old Gang in reference to the committee that pushed for the trench fighting design.

They are the same company that built little willie. They thought that a war with Germany would be like WW1. A stalemate and trenches. So they built the TOG. it could cross trenches over 20 feet wide. But the Germans are like "Ha Blitzkrieg" so the TOG was never used

TOG 2 was not a tank of the interwar period, even the original TOG 1 was designed in early WW2 (although the idea for this superheavy tank predated the war by some months). The US did not develop a superheavy tank in the interwar period

@@hendi1571 Yes quite. The M6 Heavy Tank was called for in 1940. Almost everyone built or designed a multi turreted heavy tank in the inter was years, mainly in the late '30s.

And ofcours dont forget the soutable TOG II* the most heavy tank in world war 2 tog II is used to called boat tank TOG I is made of matilda in 1941 and it was canselled becouse it's turret is not suitable and 1942 british desided to make suitable TOG II* after now its made of heavy iron and ligth turret that can break easily.(that is all i got far from learning historical sorry is you all din't understand)...
