Big props to Kyle for busting open the plastic prison on this rare figure. I live for the “see you later good-byes” and had a momentary doubt that Kyle might not open this one. But good ole Kyle came through I agree that it makes perfect sense that Hasbro will release a version of this figure with some cool variation so people can get this classic look without having to go in on a very pricey vehicle. Looking forward to it and (hopefully) the return of the classic hood one day in the future

I’m sure they’ll release a main line version with the regular style cobra logo, so this one will hang on my wall with my vintage cobra commanders

Oh definitely they have the molds there going to use them …..your probably going to see release of the hiss driver (with a paint redeco) or a 3 pack of them same with wild bill…. these characters are exclusive to the haslab vehicles just that variant of the character is ……there’s a lot of people out there that want these figures and not the vehicles I don’t see Hasbro leaving that money on the table especially when they already have the molds made

Great figure, I'm all in. As a child I was a huge G.I. Joe fan. The cartoons I remember watching mostly showed him woth the helmet, but the hood was also part of it too. I like the hood, but my definitive CC is with the helmet.

This is the only Cobra Commander, as far as colors go and versions! Hopefully they do release this one on Retro Card, with hood or not, or both.

What a great looking figure, this is my Cobra Commander. Sadly though, he is a pass as I don't want to pay secondary market price. I wasn't able to get in on the Hiss Tank campaign, and I regret that quite a bit now. It was what it was. I am hoping for some kind of retail release with him at some point.

This Cobra Commander will definitely be re-leased with the normal looking Cobra logo emblem. I open EVERYTHING. Even though there have been a few things I have been hesitant to open, it has never been to this degree. I received the HISS tank haslab yesterday. Opened everything except the Commander. But I'll open him this afternoon when I get home.

They never had the hooded one? I would not mind a black and red Cobra Commander color scheme to match the HISS tank. The custom one looks beautiful. But I think all the Cobra Commanders look very good.

Cool unboxing, uniform looks great! But that is not the right helmet for me. It should be a smooth chrome mask and more of a bowl style helmet. 🪖
