8:10 now that's a clever way to store that grenade launcher. I can see I might have a ML red skull in charge of a H.I.S.S. tank with this guy. 9:09 shiny black over red ought to contrast nicely, and I might look into getting another. 🤔 11:14 thanks for this insight to slightly custom/fix a fig. 13:03 & 13:13 nice coverage of reuse. 16:04 in the 80s toon, cobra weapons always shot as blue lasers, while joes shot red lasers, which as a kid I thought was weird since red was usually associated with bad/evil and blue with good. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Thank u for the 80s laser reference. The effect part makes sense now. Also yeah Autobots shoot blue while Decepticons shoot red/purple. Ah the 80s

Thanks for the preview. I preordered this set to go with my HISS. This is my favorite color scheme/repaint in the line so far. Cobra Officer is my favorite figure in the line. Looks good in this color, although I wish he came with his original weapons. Still awesome though.

Those tiny additions of the 788 on the helmets, arms, and chest of Range Viper are excellent and give them a polished quality feel. Thanks for the fix on the officer. I'll try that on my janky PP officers.

I remember when the H.I.S.S. Tank was being crowdfunded, I thought that the fan voted color schemes that *_LOST_* should be sold as a pack that was open to everyone and nkt just those that backed. When they announced this set, I pre-ordered one as I didn't think both H.I.S.S. Tanks I ordered would need a set for each. But if they announced the set I suggested, that'd be an easy decision to get multiples for troop building.

Xcorpeo, kudos for the first review. As a HISS backer the 3-pack set was something I wanted to complete the the personel. The pros do out weigh the cons. Great job showing customizing problem solving with some of the imited articulation. Now can Habro get their ASP out to hook up with the HISS? 😅 You know what I mean 😉. Terrific review ✌️

I'm assuming the blue blast effect pieces go with the retro submachine pistol that the Officer comes with. Intead of the removable magazine holding bullets, you could pretend it's an energy cartridge.

I will not be surprise if this end up at close out stores in the US for $13.99 at Ross or Ollies in 6 months like the Cobra Vipers 3 pack. Range Viper is the only newer mold in this pack, everything else just recolored and reuse. The backlash against Hasbro is definitely showing as stuff sitting on shelves for months on end with crazy clearance prices

The viper 3 pack was sold out for months. Hasbro distro does suck but the limited items staying.on shelves at Walmart and Target only shows Hasbro that their model is working.

If you shift the rocket launcher a little bit up against the shoulder he can hold that indefinitely, or at least, I've been able to do that with Bazooka.

I've been having some QC issues with each new GI Joe figure I've opened #90 and up, so now I realize I need to check all incoming figures as well as older ones not unboxed yet. Had to return 2 figures, one for frozen shoulder and one for 1/2 a frozen knee that tore.

great review bro it s a very, very nice kit, by including a range viper, the team looks savage! the colour scheme is cool to match the hiss. I d see the range viper more in the reg troops colours, but here, it s appropriate. I have yet to see a range viper that fits my palette enough to lay the dough. I ll miss that grenade launcher if it does nt happen, I love it. I can t afford the current hiss version - kit, I m hoping for a cheaper version in the future. guys that can afford and have space for them are lucky, but I don t think most of us can afford, want to buy online, and all have lots of space to display them. it d be better to release a reg version in stores so that more can overcome the current hurdle. I d be willing to get 2 at $150 Can each perhaps? just the old version with a driver would do, remove the lights and other detail stuff. I d see Hasbro cashing in with different weather versions too, arctic, desert, blue camo, urban camo, crimson version... as long as it s light vehicles like the stinger, vamp, ect, it should do well. all fit in a modest dio with a couple of figures. it s out of most s league to dream for a rolling thunder... if you can, do a video about a companion product for figs in stores, we don t see them enough in stores, not enough shelf space - exposure. the old 'battle stations' or rams, snakes, claws, all were fig price point. at 6' scale, I don t see a better offering to fully enjoy making scenes at home on shelves. I d like wooden crates of rifles or bazookas, or the missile station, all looked pretty cool mixed with figs, but now surely would look even better! psa Hawk ; Joes stick together kids! that s how we build better worlds!!! so now you know... good show bro

Thanks for the review. You are the first review I’ve seen for this set and I’ve frankly been dreading watching them. I preordered this since I am new to the line and missed out on the Cobra officer and trooper and the Range Viper has been impossible to get ahold of or even order. And let’s not forget the QC issues the line has been plagued with lately. But with your review I feel a little more relieved that the set may turn out to be a good one. I really like the color scheme and hopefully it fits well with all the various Crimson figures I have purchased recently.

Thanks for the review! Thorough as always. The weapons don't seem as soft and gummy like the ones that come with the most recent Joes. Can you confirm if that's the case? The black and red color scheme is quite cool. Worst one is probably the range viper compared to the original. Let's hope this set drops in price eventually so it is easier to army build.

For me my rocket guy came with a odd lower leg its off center from the knee down :( wish they where pinless hehe. Cartoon cobra = blue Gi Joe = red laser :) even as a kid I always wondered why not the other way hehe
