He didn't trust Robby, even after training him. The students and Sensei/Sifu are supposed to have trust in each other. They're supposed to be a family. In my school we were taught to refer to each other as brothers and sisters, for life. Daniel wanted to train his students to trust each other and work together, but he doesn't trust his own students. He especially doesn't trust Robby. He keeps blaming Cobra Kai and Johnny for everything, and is not focusing on what the real problem is.

Yes he tried to stop the fight, but the show clearly was trying to show us that Miguel thought Robby was roughing Tory up in some way (it wasn't a well executed scene, almost cringy in fact, but it's 100% what they were going for). From then on he assumes bad intent from Robby, that he's going to lay hands on her again. Not to mention Miguel clearly let him go and then Robby basically attempted murder.

@@TokyoKazama Those shows had decent fight scenes, but they're relatively slow-paced compared to the faster-paced action scenes in Cobra Kai. Its fight choreography is a throwback to Hong Kong martial arts movies of the '80s and '90s (e.g. classic Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung movies), not Power Rangers. And if you're into anime, then Cobra Kai is a lot closer to that style of action than any other live-action TV show to date.

I live in NYC. 5 years ago, Senior Year HS, a fight broke out in my school's 2nd floor lunch room (My school wasn't known as a nice fancy school lol). The fight was like this episode. Two people started, then more, and then more, the whole room was in chaos. Within 2-3 minutes security guards and police came rushing in. There was no 20 minute battle lmaoo

If Alli does come back, I really hope is only for the sole purpose of helping Miguel. I think that a storyline between her and Johnny or her and Daniel will be too overplayed. Season 1 finale was called "Mercy" which is what Robby showed Miguel when he extended his hand in the tournament, but Miguel pulled on it. Season 2 is called "No Mercy" which is again, what Robby showed to Miguel. I don't what to spoil anything for season 3, but the creators said these titles with Robby's storyline have something to do with season 3. Laughing at how you guys keep pronouncing Ali like Muhammad Ali...it's pronounced like alley! Lol Also, I wanted to comment that I really love Robbie but I think it would be more realistic if we see him locked up in S3...he almost killed someone. I found a America Civil War comparison here, if you paint Miguel as Iron Man and Robby as Captain America(they both being the heroes respective colors) it looks similar to the whole scene where Cap was whaling on Tony and then he countered just like in this scene, but Cap(Robby) won because the other showed a merciful second chance and Miguel(Iron Man) suffers defeat which is shown by the broken heart in Civil War and a broken neck here in Cobra Kai. And the Cap ran away the same way as Robby did after this, and the whole fight choreography-looks like the airport battle

While Sam, Daniel's daughter, started EVERYTHING by kissing Miguel, it was Tory that actually came to the school to fight. I will say this: I like how there is no clear hero and villain. Life is complicated like that and it is fun to see how the ones who you would think would be the hero (Daniel), can actually come across as bullies. And the ones that ARE villains (Johnny), actually have a soft side and are actually likeable. I just picked up on this series a month ago and I am HOOKED! I don't know how fans who saw it on KZbin last year are able to wait until next year to see the next season, because I was ready for it as soon as I finished watching ep 10 a month ago!

Fucking Kreese. I can't believe that all the Cobra Kai took his side over Johnny's. The choreography for that fight was so good it reminded me of something from Daredevil with the one shots. Stingray is gonna be in jail with Dutch. xD I need season 3 already!! That ending! I think Sam has a good heart and it's not fair to totally blame her, but everyone in this show has communication issues. Sam needs to tell Daniel everything. He needs the whole story to know he needs to apologize. I feel so bad for Johnny and I really hope Carmen realizes he was always trying to protect and teach Miguel right.

I expect Daniel to apologize to Carmen for what his student did to her son. I think his pride will keep him from apologizing to Johnny at first. Knowing how his character is written for this show, I don't think he'll be in a hurry to swallow his pride and apologize to Johnny since Robbie is his son after all. We'll see what happens in season 3, whenever the hell youtube will finally post it!

Great reaction video. I am 46 years old and I watch a lot of TV. I must say that this finale was the BEST that I've ever seen. That brawl was batshit crazy in the best way. The fight coordinators deserve an award. The director, the writers and the cast deserve hella praise! That was the epitome of entertainment. Agree with all you said sans the girls. The period comment was a bit sexist. Until Robby kicked Miguel over the balcony--the girls fight was waaaaaaaaaaaay more intense than the boys.

I like Amanda and as much as I liked Daniel and Ali in the movie, I hope he stays with his wife. Ali's definitely going to exacerbate the rivalry though. I hope Johnny ends up with Carmen. Before the show came out, I was kind of hoping Daniel would be married to Julie (Hilary Swank) and Miyagi's two students would have gotten together. I always like The Next Karate Kid and it would be cool if they brought her back to help Daniel get some balance back and fight Kreese. Not romantically now, but I'd love to see Miyagi's 2 students team up.

Season 3: Ali is gonna help Miguel rehab and run into Johnny, and there feelings for each other are going to get rekindled, as are Miguel and Sam's feelings for each other. Daniel and Amanda are gonna separate. Robbie is will get caught and be taken to juve, where he'll become waaay hardened because nobody is gonna help him. Finally, Kreese will come into the picture, and take Robbie under his wing once he gets out. Robbie will then become Cobra Kai's star pupil, having Kreese as his mentor. I could also see Robbie ending up with Tory. Meanwhile, eventually Daniel and Johnny are gonna team up against Cobra Kai. Perhaps even Terry Silver will be behind John Kreese being able to finance the dojo. Lastly, Tory seems waaay too good a fighter before she came into the picture after just "a few kick boxing lessons"; potential daughter of Mike Barnes? Who knows? Anyway, great video guys; thanks.

Cobra kai is responsible for the entire fight. Blame Sam for the kiss, but Miguel didnt walk away. In fact, it wss the 2nd time he tried talking to her after she was already with Robby. Tory started the fight, and Miguel escalated it. Tory tried stabbing Sam, and cut the shit out of her arm , yet Daniel is the bad guy for saying he wont let CK get away with it?

Daniel and Johnny's elevator scene was an acknowledgement that Daniel and Johnny both realized they were responsible. Daniel may be out of touch, but he didnt teach his students to do wrong. Sam just cant control her hormones and Robby cant control his anger. Also, Johnny didnt aplogize for punching Daniel's employee, his dojo being responsible for the medal of honor theft etc. They are very much the same and equally share the blame for this mess.

I think that's how Kreese can bring back Terry Silver to help Tory lawyer up. They can totally flip this on them. They can make the argument that Sam had been antagonizing and harassing Tory all summer long. Everything from accusing her of stealing her mom's wallet, assaulting her at the roller rink, then taking advantage of Miguel and kissing him at the party. They can argue that Sam strategically made Tory snap. Even after she called her out on the p.a. system. Sam didn't stay in the class, she went in the hallway to confront Tory as well. Remember all these people, Kreese, Silver, Barnes, they want to get revenge on LaRusso.

Miguel and Sam will get back together, but it's probably not going to be until the later episodes of Season 3 or maybe Season 4. Miguel needs time to recover. I hope that somehow Miguel and Robby will make amends, as well as Daniel and Johnny.
