I liked how Johnny attacked Kreese and was pushed into the glass wall giving a nod to part 3, when Miyagi did the same to Terry Silver in defense.

Chris Waltman I believe Daniel holds up the light in his teachings as Johnny still remained in the dark, hence why along with his old master, corrupting the kids mind into soldier like behavior. In other words, Daniel has the better mentality as Johnny’s still relies on the past, but Daniel moves into the future, determined to settle the score with Johnny, while Johnny attempts to overthrow his rival, even it means killing him. I highly doubt he’ll kill him, but bring him back to his senses.

@@chriswaltman5313 Mr Miyagi had the better mentality. Daniel still struggles to live up to the teachings. The Karate Kid was written by a karateka, so he knew about precept that says "there is no first strike in karate" and wrote Cobra Kai's "Strike First" to be in direct opposition to this.

It's still ridiculous that such a good show came out of nowhere like Cobra Kai, and with season 2 coming up i've been thinking more about it than GoT @_@

I'm seeing Kreese taking over Cobra Kai and turning the dojo against Johnny. Where they left things at the beginning of Part II, Johnny and much of the rest of the Cobra Kai were disillusioned with Kreese. Miyagi saved Johnny as his own sensei was strangling him and beating up other students. Miyagi was a real sensei and humiliated Kreese for what he was. Something they addressed again (not quite as effectively) in Part III. I see the ultimate showdown becoming Johnny (maybe with Daniel's help) against Kreese. He's the ultimate villain here. Having irresponsibly and selfishly used teenagers to wreak havoc as his own personal unquestioning soldiers. I think Johnny's breaking point will be when he sees Kreese subjecting a new generation of students to what he did to him or worse.

The sling Robby wears is from his original tournament injury. Season 2 will pick up were 1 left off with Johnny and Kreese, so Robby will be beginning his recovery of his injury. Once Robby heals then he really starts training / helping Daniel repair Mr. Miyagi's home as Miyagi Do Dojo.

This is a much darker, melancholy song; the way it was meant to be. I felt the original is too upbeat and positive in a nihilist way, especially with the marimba melody.

Here's what I'd like to see, IMHO: Hawk's been behaving like a bully all season & is everything Kreese wanted Johnny to be. During the finale, Hawk disappoints Kreese in a major way, and Kreese starts giving Hawk the same treatment he gave Johnny @ the beginning of KK2. Only Johnny sees this, has a flashback, and attacks Kreese with more fury than he's ever attacked anyone in his life!

Best show on KZbin red, they blended in the references, invented old moves with new tricks, told great stories that interwove, was funny but also had a slight serious tone to it. So good.

In regards to Robby having his arm in a sling - remember that he had injured his shoulder during the tournament in Season 1 and Miguel didn't help matters by going after it in their match. That clip of Daniel and Robby probably takes place early in Season 2 as Robby's arm is still healing.

I don't know what to feel about this trailer. The 1st season was funny and witty with the right blend of Nostalgia sprinkled in that made a surprise success. This 2nd season feels like life and death is in the balance. Man, this is The Karate kid franchise, not Naruto.

How does Johnny have anger toward Daniel? Do we not remember how Karate Kid ended? With Johnny grabbing the trophy to personally give it to Daniel and saying, "you're alright Larusso"? And in the parking lot Mr Miyagi protecting Johnny from Kreese? According to the first movie their issue were resolved... So where is all this anger coming from now... Johnny and Daniel should be friend, like old pals.

How often do you see major fights like this in a school on TV none hardly this is fantastic and it leads to someone getting seriously injured and that someone looks to be Sam from the looks of it. Because later Daniel is extremely angry when he shows up at the dojo and later at Johnny's apartment I'm sorry but Daniel needs his ass kicked again he has really fallen off the wagon. I hope his wife can bring him back around and we never get to see his son's reaction to all this.
