I forgot this show existed til I watched the trailer for Season 2. I binged Season 1 and was quite impressed. Great, great stuff staying this authentic after so many years. This series deserves all the love that was put into making it, back ten fold~ great job and many more seasons to come!

April is an exciting month! :D The Karate Kid films were always watched anytime I seen them air on tv as a kid. Really missing Pat as Miyagi, but loving how they are paying respect to his character in the show and not forgetting his importance. The Cobra Kai series is just incredible, and I am genuinely excited for season 2!

He used to say there was no way a karate could make it in ufc then machida won the title and shut him up. He watches a lil more what he says now but hes made it clear he is not a fan of karate and if its not bjj its sucks and is useless. Ive done karate for 33 years so i have my opinions.

@@Chemicalkinetics I don't always like to cheer the underdog, but in this particular case and at this point in my life, I can't actually relate more to Johnny than I can to Daniel. Daniel is a good guy at heart but seems to have more of a stick up his ass these days than Johnny. Also, the Cobra Kai show has made me re-think the original movie and I realize that Daniel wasn't as much of an innocent party as he appeared to be on the surface. For example, if he had simply minded his own business that day at the beach when he first saw Alli, he may never have had an issue with Johnny. He tried to show off to her by coming to her rescue but he ended up getting involved in something that had nothing to do with him at all.

When I first saw it I just laughed it off thinking of it as a joke, but after Cobra Kai came on it caused me to reevaluate the original movie and even go back and watch that video again, and I actually do see now how both Daniel and Johnny were equally at fault in many ways.

@@JukeboxJoeB I like Johnny in the show and hated him in the original film. Daniel was always a hot-head but I wouldn't say he was equally at fault for their feud. I understand him wanting to help Ali who was being pestered by Johnny plus he broke her radio. Ali had flirted with him earlier so he kind of liked her and really thought she was in trouble. Plus, afterwards Johnny and his friends mostly gave him a hard time. Daniel was foolish with the water hose prank, I can get why he wanted payback for what they put they him through before but that was just inciting more trouble, again he's not perfect. On the show, I think they are both good but flawed guys who allow their grudge and misunderstands get in the way to bury the hatchet which is a shame because I think they could really like each other once they do.

The whole situation is very good captured cause in the real martial arts world its very the same like in the series. There are almost the same bad guy good guy situations. In the kung fu world for example there are very big conflicts as well. There are either very kind guys or the bad guys in the martial arts world. There are almost no shades between it. I also developed the same music taste as my first kung fu teacher had. He heard Manowar and I became a very big fan as well.
