Apparently, there's also some kind of spray fixative that you can spray over your pencil or charcoal sketch that will prevent them from bleeding into the paint.

You can also seal pencil etc with a clear, matt, acrylic medium

I love that bristle filbert paint brush you have. If you can share the name brand, I'd really appreciate your help.

I love this instruction Artist’s approach. I think the direct, pragmatic Dutch are very much suited to direct, instructional video. There was a recent ‘Colour In Your Life’ video posted in which a renowned oil Artist reported that the Grumbacher Chemist told him that there is a positive chemical interaction between a charcoal undersketch & oil paint drying. I would be very interested to know what that interaction is. This is the FIRST oil paint company video I have seen that even mentioned that charcoal is superior to graphite or how to ensure the graphite doesn’t contaminate the first paint layers.

Would a lot of water cause the paint to underbind?

Margo Wright they are water soluble oils, which mean that they can be cleaned with water instead of smelly, strong paint thinners

This is a different oil painting. It’s a mixable water painting. It is much easier to clean too :-)

Funny to watch drawing with thinned paint- I always did that by instinct -

Why are introductory paintings with Cobra paint always so bad? I can't trust Cobra paints...
