The whole Tory discussion and speculation on her arc gives me only one hope for Part 2 or 3. Johnny has a scene with Tory that finally shatters Kreese’s hold on her. No one knows better than Johnny about the hold Kreese can have and more importantly how he can flip on you instantly and smash your trophy and try to kill you. I really wanna see that and that dynamic

In part 1, of season 6 of Cobra Kai I wish so bad that we could have seen a 1 on 1 training session of Samantha with Johnny at Miyagi DO and the taught techniques from Johnny that she would have applied in the tournament. I also wish that Samantha would have had a true heart to heart moment with Johnny. Johnny would have seen the scar that she had from Tori's fight. Johnny would have said to Samantha that he truly regrets that night where he almost killed her father. That's how we got to this. If Miyagi had not stopped me that night, he would probably be sharing a jail cell with Dutch right Now. Samantha would have ask: who is Dutch? Johnny would have answered the guy who almost made sure your dad would not be able to conceive you. He would have discussed how he regrets having to reopen Cobra Kai and Samantha feeling sorry for the car that got crashed even though she wasn't the one driving. Johnny would have end the scene by saying to her you're alright Larusso and Samatha hugging him. But then Johnny says to her but you stubborn just like your father and her saying hey don't talk smack about my dad.

I appreciate the in depth talk through, and it puts a different view point to how I viewed the s6p1. So I’ll try to break it down. Note I’m doing this mid video and I’ll try to edit if somethings addressed. *what we know season 6 is the wrap up on the series, also cobra Kai is a discipline of deception and misleading. *what’s been hinted for the future, spin offs * advantage of spacing, reshoots, fan feedback and ultimately fan service. 1) the power couples. - at the end who gets the Joanie and chachi spin off 2) secondary leads- who gets appearances co staring arcs etc 3) Krease is palpatine 😮- or his sensei is either way. Tori and sensei K- the krease interfered with Tori’s mom is plausible however Teri was at the hospital in the prior season so setting up false hope meeting is plausible though very dark. Also krease going to reason with Tori’s mom and inadvertently triggering the issue that was her demise due to her recognizing krease as someone ill intentioned. Severe non probable twist there’s a relationship deeper then sensei student. * how is it no villain takes Teri seriously all good guys view him as the ultimate evil. *krease’s relationship with his sensei’s granddaughter seems suspicious. *issues I see these actors are approaching 30 playing 17-18yr old which makes continuity issues and reshoot issues. *johnnys relating the need to work it out on the mat is related to his downfall he was expecting a kid and he was too bereaved from his mothers death to be a good father Ultimate suspension of disbelief. Who’s bankrolling all these international flights johnnys broke krease is a fugitive Miguel’s family has no 0. Daniel can float some of these costs but this has to be 10-20k of overall expense and some of these kids don’t have a chance of an expedited passport. *Season 6 allows cobra Kai to be its own animal previously it’s wrapping up the previous loose ends *mcguffi ? Is Miagi related to the Kim Tsong do sensei where does sato play into this does chosen return with more information also if miyagi left Okinawa and didn’t return till kk2 then where was he after the “robbery” *terrys an unknown does he turn heel😮 Again so much appreciation for the work you do I’m not arguing just adding my “call in responses” Keep up the amazing work.

How do we pressure Netflix to push forward these dates? Do we or should we all discontinue our Netflix accounts? It is completely ridiculous the next batches are 4 month spans. Side comment. In terms of storyline, the end of season 5 felt like the end of the series. So, the storyline kind of started over. These first 5 episodes were "starting over." We hope the next batches tear it up...Reminds of the final season of Breakin Bad. In it's final season, the beginning of it felt slow. Because the storyline kind of started over. It turned out to be a very good final season. But it purposely started slow because the end of season 4 felt like the end of that series. Sorry for the long comment. And if season 5 was designed to feel that way, I think that is really awesome. And if that's the case, it reminds me of Breaking Bad. The ending of S4 in that series felt like the end, but it wasn't. And S5 started slow, etc. Let's hope for an incredible rest of Cobra Kai S6 season.

I'm more then sure, that in the second part of the season, in one or two episodes, Torys way back to Kreese and how Roby or others tried to help Tory in the time of grieve, will be shown. Maybe the showrunners even give us an explanation how Kreese is able to fly around the world as a jailbreaker.😂

I think and hope that part two will show what happened before everyone headed for the tournament. Because there needs to be some clarification there. I doubt they picked captains, and just headed off right after. And, I believe that at least Amanda would reach out to Tory after what happened. If they don't show it, then that weakens the season more.

Good discussion. Raised some great points that were my feelings too. The fact is they messed up big time with the finale of Season Five. They wanted to give this big OTT showdown where they bring Terry down but it didn't need to happen that soon & everything went perfectly for the good guys when the odds were against all of them. 🙄 Give me a break. Much too much of the fas-service & now the stakes are gone going into Season Six & they are creating storylines than just come across as forced & filler to draw out the final season. Not to mention Silver is a much more interesting & well acted character than Kreese. I've never really cared about Kreese & he's been getting silly farfetched storylines since Season Three.

I think what they should've done is have Daniel and johnny disagree on whether they want to Fight in the tournament (Daniel no, johnny yes). Then in episode 3 when the rules and location gets revealed, so do the teams. There's a list of teams everyone gets to see, and they see cobra Kai on the list. This flips Daniels mindset back to wanting to do the turnament

I think it would’ve worked better if in the 1st episode the characters try to drop out of the tournament because like you said Terry silvers CK is no longer running so what’s the point of even trying to participate. But there’s a rule that dojo’s can’t drop out whenever they want to. So they have no choice but to be involved in the tournament.

There seems to be a huge amount of time lapse in episode 5. Hawk is entered by default because Tory left, but how did she get to South Korea first? I think that this season will be non linear, which I enjoy but I understand why others may not. How much time elapsed between Tory walking away and the plane arriving in Barcelona? Obviously, it is not the next day but it seems like it. A month? Several months? Did Robbie really make no effort to contact Tory until he 1saw her at the tournament as Cobra Kai? I also expect a return somehow of Hector, otherwise Miguel's visit to Mexico was a waste of time...another flashback I hope for is something between Tory and her mother, to make us actually miss her and grieve her death more, I felt this was lacking. We, personally, only felt the death fromTory's perspective, there was one flashback-and this expains why her fist was clenched because she was holding the bottle cap- but we never knew her as a character.

All they did this season was rehash old problems and ruin characters. -they made Johnny and Daniel have a rivalry again. -made demetri and hawk have dumb beef. -nerfed hawk and made them friends with kyler for some reason -cringy cartoonish villians and dialogue. -only a few Robby and Kenny scenes And a lot more I don’t want to get into. Honestly this season was a disappointment and it sucks to say becuase I loved s1-4. Kwon was the ONLY good part of this season.

Yo guys. Got some theories on how the show will go. For the All Valley, I reckon there will be a tournament in the Valley, because I think its been half a year? Maybe less that Season 4 came out in the show, and we have no idea how long the Sekai Takai will be going on for, and by the length of the episodes I would say probably a few weeks to a month. A tournament in the Valley could be due. When Johnny and Daniel left to the Barcelona with Daniel giving that monologue, we see the Miyagi-Dos back in the Valley with their gi and still training. Mike Barnes, or possibly Julie Pierce, would teach the Miyagi-Dos back at the Valley and for the tournament. For the Sekai Taikai, I got a lot of theories. First one is for the leak of Miguel in the Cobra kai gi with the captains headband and Johnny on the board with the Cobra logo next to him. Now, we know Daniel and Johnny had an argument at the end of Ep 5, and I believe their relationship will deteriorate as the tournament goes on. They would want people to preform things differently, do different things, and themselves will have arguments. Or, in episode 1, at the start when Johnny and Daniel are talking about Johnny’s training, they get into a small argument with Johnny ending it with saying “When do I run shit by you”. This could be forshadowing. In the leaked video where they are seen talking infront of the massive skyscraper, Johnny seems to walk away annoyed as Daniel looks the same, more angered though. We know they will argue a lot more. I think this could reach a breaking point when they find out what Devon did, and they have a big argument, or something to do with Tory or one of their other fighters. If the Devon thing is right, Johnny could take her side with valid reasons as they argue, causing Johnny to split from Miyagi Do. Miguel becomes captain, devon girls captain. I dont think they would do Miguel dirty with the 2v2 fights and not the singular ones, which is why he would split. Hawk could possibly join too. If this happens, there would be more fights against Kwon with out Miyagi Dos rather than just a few of the main guys. The conversation Stingray gave will not go in vain, and I hope they bring the Challenger back. With the photo of Kreese looking worried, I think it’s because he sees Terry Silver returning to possibly promote or sponsor the tournament, or perhaps have a team of his own with hired people who are considered some of the best. Cool if the dojo was named Quicksilver or something. Robby wont get injured by Kwon with the blood on his face, I think thats from another guy, as Kwon isnt the only crazy big bad. There are others too, other dojos, these are the best of the best remember. I also dont think Miyagi Do will make it too far, just in fights they will succeed. We havent seen them train any skills stuff, only fighting. Also, hot take. I dont think Miyagi Do is winning the Sekai Taikai. I honestly think its going to be Kreeses Cobra Kai, or Johnnys if he brings it back.The show is named Cobra Kai. Cobra Kai has won twice before. We know the writers are prety logical, and just look around Kwons skills. Also, if Johnny does reopen Cobra kai, I dont think my theory would be the answer, I just know a fight, argument will get to him, or the Stingray thing. But with whos winning besides my Cobra Aki prediction, its hard to pick between Miguel, Robby and Kwon. Robby seems like a good choice, and I dont feel like Miguel would win inside Miyagi Do as there is alreayd Robby. If he joins Johnnys Cobra kai its more logical, or a possible draw, or disgualification which is an uncertain victory within the fan base. It all lines up. Hawk will for sure get his moment. They are seeing doing the highest kicks BTS and I think that will be a challenge or a competition. Jacob Bertrand said he had to fall off a 12 foot? Drop into dark mats, so this could be something pivitol. Hes definitely going to go crazy, not win the tournament but definitely get a big moment and possibly be injured extremely badly. For the aftermath, we will see what happens with the winner and winning team, and all the glory and good stuff they get. Something will go on between old man Kim Jong Eun and possibly other members, maybe Chozen, but I think he wont be involved in any fights and theyll do something to Kim. Give him a heart attack or something idk. Old hag. Mr Miyagi will be discovered as something crazy and Daniel goes crazy, Miyagi Do possibly shutting down and everyone joining Johnnys Cobra Kai or something idk im yapping on. When Johnny and Daniel are running with everyone behind them it could be after they win or something. I believe the end of Cobra Kai will be in a warehouse, I predicted before the Eagle Fang warehouse but…. yeah, but a warehouse with a boxing ring, possibly the one in the episode sleeper with the miyagi storyline. Ace degenerate or the Cobra Kai theme plays, or possibly King Cobra, as Johnny and daniel hop in the ring. They bounce around, and just like Rocky 3, they both punch eachother at the same time at a freeze frame with no contact. It will cut to a Bonsai tree with the Sun infront of it, and then the credits, no one knowing who has won,and like Creed, the new Karate Kid movie in 2025 will talk about this with Daniel saying Johnny won, but being uncertain to keep us guessing, like how Rocky said to Creed that Apollo won but said it weirdly. I feel like Kwons character is this generations version of chozen. As they both have been training at such a young age with great natural ability but both have attitudes and don’t fight with honor. What if in the final episode he challenges either miguel or Robby to fight to the death and Daniel tells one of them “this is not a tournament this is for real” just like Mr miyagi told him.

These five episodes were, by far, the weakest of the series. I'm kind of blown away by it, because the writing team has, prior to this season, written a real gem. To wit: 1. WTF happened to Kenny? He just disappears! 2. Kreese's ability to move wherever the f he wants to is a joke even in Absurd World. It's seriously a joke. 3. Kreese's snake bite. The man should be dead. 4. Tory. I get that they needed to address her daddy issues, but the way in which she is brought back to Kreese is trite and played and beggars the imagination. How, for example, did she manage to get to South Korea? 5. Johnny and Daniel's continued bickering. Jesus, folks, enough already. It's really frickin' old at this point. 6. Chozen. He just ... disappears! 7. Silver. One of the very best acting performances in any series I have watched in the last half-decade is Thomas Ian Griffith's reboot of the villainous Terry Silver. We get absolutely nothing of him in the first five episodes. 8. Did I mention Johnny and Daniel's continued bickering? 9. Renting or buying a home anywhere in California is WAY beyond a beginning car saleperson's salary, full stop, and way beyond that salary added to a nurse's! Why the hell doesn't the writing team KNOW this? 10. ... I don't know. Give me some time and I'll fill this one out. I'm afraid this is a sinking ship, folks. Worse, I don't think it can be saved. If so, it will be borderline miraculous. I have been a huge, HUGE fan of this series, and after the fifth episode of this final season, I just ... well, it's been one huge sigh after another for me every time I think of it.
