You will absolutely have blade edge wear from the deployment window, the blade play will increase quickly ,and then it will reach the point, (you'll notice it) where it seems to stop progressing.

Not quite sure what you mean by "seems to stop progressing" Do you mean things will stabilize and then you can resharpen and all will be good?
