The best youtube drummer for me! A Cobus fan since in my 6th grade. Now I'm a full pledge junior high teacher and still playing with my church and secular bands. You really inspired me to start playing the instrument that I chose to love. I paid 1 dollar per hour of internet (here in the Philippines we have internet cafés) just to open youtube and watch you play. Till now you're still my inspiration eventhough a lot of youtube drummers keep on emerging nowadays, there will always be a legitimate youtube drummer named "Cobus"!

When you grab a cymbal, make sure you start at the bottom of the cymbal going up (palm open) so it wont hit your nails.

Still remember in 2009 when I first started learning drum , I started searching drum cover online , and I saw Cobus was playing this song , I repeated it almost 10 times in a row, I downloaded it , and always hope that I could play that well. This is the song that made me play drum for so long time , it makes me practice hard, thank you Cobus, thank you for making my secondary school life so meaningful . I won't lie, a lot of the time I think Cobus is over playing a bit. BUT! That does NOT mean I think he's a bad drummer. Quite the opposite in fact.
