I got this model for a Christmas gift last year, and my unboxing video for it is coming out Friday the 26th of November 2021. I'm also building it as a live stream video series. I came to see your review in case there was some issues with the kit. Thank you for letting me know how you got your model built!

Awesome build. I remember seeing the real vans like this when I was a small boy. I remember my brother and I meeting the Coca Cola Robot at a fruit stand that used to be here where we live many years ago. I wish they would make a model of the Coca Cola Robot.

About to do this kit. Recently did other kits in the Coke series from AMT. I too would not recommend any of those kits for beginners as the parts are not numbered and the instructions can be very vague on where some parts have to go and this kit is no exception. Some auto mechanic knowledge is an asset doing these kits.
@RightOnReplicas4 жыл бұрын
Lubs, I have to agree but if you lack a degree in auto mechanics, our tutorial reviews can walk you through the construction. Thanks! PS, please help us reach more modelers by subscribing if you haven't done so already. -Doug

Another great build Doug. I’ve been eyeballing these new coke models from round 2. I’ve got an idea I’m going to do. I am going to build the semi with trailer, cut 2 big lexan viewing windows in the side, then I’m going to build the 2 coke Bobby Allison cars to go inside. Then I’m want to build the rest of the stable of cars, vans & trucks. I love all your coke builds.

Geo, Always check for compatibility with overcoats before you spray a model. I use a 2 part automotive urethane or simply DupliColor clear for most models. PS - please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug

Great job, love your videos, Really inspiring. I'm painting a 57 chevy Nomad. And red and white is the colors I'm using. Should I do like you did and prime the bottom with black primer and white on top? I've heard red can be tricky sometimes .
@RightOnReplicas4 жыл бұрын
LS, Short answer YES. Some dreaded red styrene will bleed through your topcoats if you don't use a good quality opaque primer first. I always use black primer on red plastic first and please subscribe if you aren't already, to help us reach more model builders! -Doug.
@travisehlers28844 жыл бұрын
Black primer under red will give you a darker richer red, and it is easier to cover a lighter primer with white.

why in this model re the pieces in its branches not numbered-
@RightOnReplicas Жыл бұрын
Enrique, That's a good question. In the early days of model making the kits were so simple that part numbers weren't needed. Then they started putting them on the parts. Then, after putting the part number near the part's tab, they started "borrowing" parts from similar kits to package a different kit. But when they did that, the part numbers no longer matched, so the cheapest option is to plug off the part numbers. Fortunately, we organize our reviews to show the parts for each section before and after so that you know what the parts look like that go into each sub-assembly. With that information and the instructions, you can tell what parts are needed. Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven't already, to help us continue our mission to inspire more modelers! -Doug
