When I was 6 years old I used to wait for this commercial to come on the tv. Brings back great memories 😊

Even when the original commercial was brand new in the mid 90s, it always made me feel warm and Christmas-y all over. i remember how i would randomly start singing it to myself right in the middle of November. i still didn't drink soda back then, but man, it was great feeling to see the commercial every year.

Just checked your channel out a little bit and I'm thoroughly impressed!!! Less than 200 subscribers is criminal but that's the times we're living in unfortunately. People would rather be entertained by these mumble rappers and so called musicians with no actual musical talent/vocal ability. Oh well at least some of us still know what good music really sounds like. Wish you loads of success, you deserve it!!!!

TRUE STORY...... That chant just would get stuck in your head. Such anticipation! "Santa packs are coming... Santa packs are coming..."Well, many years ago, my husband and I were driving our motorhome through the mountains. It was dark, but the snow reflected the light of the moon. We seemed to be the only ones out, but then, way up ahead, coming around the curve, we saw a couple of big trucks heading down the hill toward us. They weren't actually Coke trucks, but they were all lit up, just like in the ads. One of us joked, "Oh look, Santa packs are coming!" 😄 ...and we both burst into tears! 🤣😭🤣 We were in our late 30s, maybe early 40s. Laughed about that night for years, but it still chokes me up a bit!

Say what you will about the ingredients in coke and how it's terrible for you....This is BRILLIANT advertising. Seriously......Santa, catchy beautiful music, the warm holiday spirit.....There are some real geniuses at the coca-cola t.v. commercial department.

I love these commercials! I remember them well. The old man on the ladder who is surprised to find his lights come on without plugging them in I just now noticed. That was funny. Great commercials for sure. Such quality. Memories. I'm admittedly a bit misty eyed. Yet Coke replaced these masterpieces with polar bears...stupid.

I've loved these Coca-Cola Christmas adverts since I was a kid. And I am quite amazed that they are still showing the same footage since the mid 1990s. Although, I kind of wish they still showed the ending part where a bottle of Coca-Cola appears before the boy and then we see Santa's picture on the back of the last truck come to life drinking out of his bottle of Coca-Cola.

Growing up in the '90s, I don't think I drank too much Coca-Cola. At least not more than the average U.S. kid. But this ad cemented in my mind the cultural understanding of Santa Claus, along with cartoons, TV shows and movies at the time. Which makes sense when you look at the history of Santa, and how Coca-Cola advertising literally shaped the pop culture image of him in the early 20th century. Santa wouldn't be who he is today without the Coca-Cola Company. So I don't really drink the stuff nowadays (I avoid soft drinks in general), but I give credit to the marketers and advertisers over the decades.

What year is that last one from? I remember these well from my childhood in the 90's/early 00's. Like someone else said, I too used to look forward to these every holiday season and was bummed when they stopped using this ad tag line and marketing motif.. Anyways I ask about that last one because at the very end of the advert it uses "#holidaysarecoming" right under the tag "open happiness" and at least as far as I know the whole hashtag thing didn't start till social media became so dominate which was certainly not in the 90's and more recently in the mid to late 00's. Am I just totally clueless about hashtaging a subject pre-social media or was this an ad from more recently?
@pannoni84496 жыл бұрын
The last one may have been 2012 (since Xmas advertising of course by then starts weeks before Thanksgiving), though it could have been from as early as 2008, the first holiday season that I noticed hashtags in advertising. But '90s nostalgia didn't take off until this decade, so it's probably from that year or 2011. However, 2008 is to social media to what 1995 (the first commercials) is to the Internet, and it wasn't really until 1997 that web urls really started to be common on ads.
