Great to see you together in the chairs again. This was sung in the same early evening talkshow DWDD (the world keeps turning) where Douwe Bob and Anouk sang hold me. The Dutch (or as Wolfman likes to call us, Danelanders) rank #1 in the world on the EF EPI English language proficiency index -- for non-native speakers -- year in, year out. Roughly 95% of the population will speak English at some level, in fact one of the main complaints I will always get from expats here is that it is impossible for them to learn Dutch because we switch over to English in an instant -- mostly for efficiency reasons😂

Loved the reaction! English proficiency is very high in the Netherlands due to several factors, such as education, media influences from abroad, and loads of tourists that use English to get by while visiting our country. You guys keep laughing hard, cuz it's one of the healthiest things you can do that doesn't even cost you anything. For the record I am AND from the Netherlands AND I am born in Amsterdam! They Performed in a tv show and yes the language on the show is Dutch 🙂 But 90 % of the Dutchies speak also English in some sort or form 🙂 (And quite a few speak German and/or French too. Some speak Turkish , Maroc-Arabic, Berber, Russian, Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian as their parents moved to The Netherlands 🙂) I am pure Dutch but I can make conversation in French and German and I am already 3 years learning Russian. Hahahahah well that's going to be useful. NOT! I used to travel to Russia for work. Stopped when the Poutine-smelling guy start being a bitch for the Ukrainian friends. It's a pity for the intelligent Russians I gone to call real friends 😞

Greetings from Amsterdam, and love your reaction. So the beard is still an issue ;-) Dutch people learn English on high school, some have more of an accent than others. But American and British movies and series on tv are subtitled so we hear the lingual sound all the time (and sometimes use British with American accent or American with a British accent).

Danny Vera is from Middelburg, a city in the Dutch province Zeeland. Vera is not his real name. His mother was called Vera (first name) and she died before he became famous. That's the reason why he's calling him self Danny Vera. Love your channel!
