This is a fascinating video. I watch Crime World podcasts, but hadn't heard Nicola talking in depth like this. I think I'm convinced to buy her book at long last! She's right, the way crime is covered in Ireland is very different to the UK. The smallest stories can take on a life of their own, and the intricacy of the gangs/ organised crime is fascinating. I hope Nicola keeps safe. She does a risky job but it's an important job.

Very interesting interview and totally backs up a book I read a few years back. It's called Red Cocaine and the drugging of America and the West by Joseph Douglas! He was an Australian intelligence officer and its an excellent book that is very relevant today.

From my experiences in Ireland, partying and intoxication is an important thing. Weddings, pub life, funerals are over celebrated. This excess is not frowned upon by police, for example. My theory is that gatherings were a means of avoiding violent conflict between tribal groups going back into prehistory, who sorted disagreements with gifts and alcohol/drugs. When daily life was a mindless grind to survive it's easier to understand, but today with so many choices of lifestyle, it's pure perversion.
@RenegadeContextАй бұрын
People were too busy to be partying historically. You would get a limited number of celebrations through the year and usually they would have a religious context. This level of hedonism is a purely modern phenomena as we now have the leisure time and the disposable income. Even in recent history regular drinkers were looked down upon because they were seen as people who had nothing to work towards

The history of criminality within gang's is there documented in history.There are very few exceptions to the norm in how it ends for most. The question most people ask.Why don't the people who make the real money step away when they have more than they'll ever need and then some. What is the magnet that keeps them glued to the game. For the majority who do this the outcome becomes defenit, jail or death or both.🤔

The drug trade is not the most important issue here in Ireland. I wish people would stop talking about it as if it is. Give me a break.

Both issues are linked. The drugs are used as a tool by the globalists to break up the nuclear family, promote degeneracy and break up the fabric of society.

It's pretty important considering how much violence is associated with it. What I'd like to know is how many people they are paying off so they can keep control of working class areas. How many landlords are laundering money for them and how many garda are taking backhanders to look the other way? Your country being controlled by violent gangsters is a pretty serious issue
@angelicnature116 күн бұрын
The drug trade is a crucial issue in Ireland. The streets are flooded with drugs, not just the people suffering in poverty are addicted to various narcotics, the privileged in high profile jobs are using coke daily. The kingpins are making so much money from drugs that they kill each other over it. People on coke mugging and assaulting innocent citizens, breaking into homes and business with no fear. It has gotten worse over the years. Drugs is the major issue

Is ther any jurnalist in Ireland doing real investagating by jurnalist undercover or otherwise. Like they did back in the day. Across the pond they were good at it. The new breed are lazy. The internet does it all for them, their kind of jurnalism, second rate. Even gansterism has gone all, holly bollywood. The bigger the better, i'm talking about teeth 😁 and 💋. These new gangs are more intrested in showing their wares.😂
