I watch several cockatoo channels and they all have a similar "scanner" voice at times. I wonder if that's just how people sound to them, or maybe it's just a natural way they sound when imitating humans.

My heart hurts 4 these cats, heartless people unless there's extenuating circumstances & with winter coming...I've got 6 cats, 2 rescued, 1 from 2 families that abused him. If I had room, I'd take more in. For the homeless cats in my area this winter, I'm building homes under my decks, filling them with straw & blaniets & putting food & water out for them. Good morning Max and Dan . Its so sad to hear people that leave their animals when they move..Its so scary for the animals. I could never ever do that . I love animals way too much. Hope the kitties will be ok 😓 .Its a long weekend, yes . I will be all mixed on on the day this week now, lol. So glad to hear your family were ok when the storm came thru . Not so good about the water in the house . Our weather has been changing lots here too..floods, high humidity, heat and I wonder what winter will bring ? That's awful when people abandon their pets. You're so kind for looking out for them. Max clearly approves! Where I live we have a large colony of outside cats and I feed them every day. It's not cheap, but they have to eat too! Thankfully we got help to get them all fixed, so no new kittens in 3 years. You might want to make sure the abandoned cats are fixed, or you and Max will be overrun with cats before you know it. Didn't mean to go on and on - anyway, Max is looking extra cute today. Hope you guys enjoy the rest of your long weekend!

Dan, you are 100 percent right! Some people are less than human. The difference is that you are human with lots of feeling and kindness. Sorry to say the people that left them don't want them!! In a shelter they become another number lost among hundreds of others People can't understand that an animal has feeling, they hurt, get hungry and have lost the only home they know! My guinea pigs have a sugar-rush "zoomies" after eating a banana. I wonder if Max does. Wonderful bird, his videos cheer me up. It's illegal to abandon pets in the UK, often happens with cats. I hope the new neighbours feed and water them they'll be so stressed.

Poor cats. Did they get reported for abandoning them, or is that a waste of time if nothing will be done to them? You certainly don't need having Max screaming the house down because he sees them. If they have no food, they'll take to killing the birds and anything they can catch. Plus leave smelly surprises in your garden. Maybe the new neighbors will take the poor kitties in, or else to a shelter or cat rescue. 🐈🐱❤

One caution about food for the abandoned cats... just leaving food out unaccompanied might not be ideal solution because it will attract other rodents & animals .... those neighbors are jerks to leave animals unattended
