May I ask, why is the mach speed blurred?

Maybe he is trying to hide the navaid identifiers, so no one knows where the approach was flown at

under the speed indicator, exactly on the blurred area there is an identified code for the approaching airport and the slected runway shown beside how many N/M there are left to the runway, for privacy reasons and to not let anyone know where he landed he choosed to blurr that out .

If you notice, there’s is one spot in the film where he leans over to drop the gear and he blurred out his face. I think that’s why the image is blurred in the lower left, not to hide the location. I see a purpose for hiding identity, not for hiding location. That’s imho.

And why doesn't he lock into FINAL APP mode toward the end ? I guess he didn't press the APPR on the FCU, but why didn't he ?

The missed approach point for this approach is not located over the threshold. At that time, there was some issue with using fully managed modes because of it.

Hello! I have a quick question that I hope you can answer :-) I was just wondering why there is no l/dev indicator at the bottom of the PFD. Does it have to do with rnp vs. rnav? Thanks!
@airtimbuk2
@airtimbuk2 7 жыл бұрын
The L/DEV indicator is an extra, optional display.

oh sorry one more question! Does that mean that the option is installed at the factory, or can it be selected on or off by the pilot?
@airtimbuk2
@airtimbuk2 7 жыл бұрын
It can either be installed at the factory or later on by the customer themselves.

Is it technically an LNAV? Since descending using NAV/PATH isnt a VNAV approach ?

Why when you disengage autopilot you disengage Flight director as well ?

For non precision approach (such as RNAV), you will need to fly the final segment of the approach visually.

Helo again airtimbuck 2 it looks you made the approach with managed speed only? Is this for rnav approach ? In other of your videos you use selected speed on ils approaches y think so. Thank you Vera much
@airtimbuk2
@airtimbuk2 7 жыл бұрын
Yes, managed speed was used for this RNAV approach. Could you point out the video that you saw where I used selected speed for an ILS approach? I don't recall using selected speed for any particular ILS approach.....

With everything off, the pilot manually controls the speed and vertical speed with both the combination of thrust levers and pitch.
@airtimbuk2
@airtimbuk2 7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it was in selected speed mode for a while because of ATC speed restriction. At 7:53, speed was back in managed mode and reducing to Vapp.

Helo again airtimbuck2: On an Airbus, no landing a pilot can desconnect AP 200 agl Or 160 agl. Some videos i have seen it no airbuses. In Boeing i have never seen a video where they disconect the AP so low, nevertheless Boeing Also can do autolands like the buses. Thank you Vera much
