Looking at the F-16 sims on KZbin, theyre shit compared to yours dude. I'm baffled by the guys who will build these elaborate and fantastic pits, only to top it all off with a 27 inch LCD bolted in front of the HUD.

I'm a 60+ year old U.S. Navy Disabled Veteran. I just got my Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog controls and going crazy trying to get them working on DCS. You make me cry, cause you make everything look so easy, and I can't even program my HOTAS and stick. LOL. But I watch a lot of your videos and they are top-notch. Your doing great, enjoy life. Thank you.

Good luck getting the HOTAS all calibrated - sure you’ll get there. Thank you for your service, much respect from the UK. Peace.

Hey man! In one of your videos, you said you used a screen for the gauges, etc. what software did you use to set up all of it? Your home cockpit is awesome, I enjoy your videos. Thank you.
@hudsonr.2184 жыл бұрын
I believe he used Helios for some of the gauges and the DCS Bios for some other ones. The main instrument panel is a big LCD, so I believe that was done with helios. The actual mechanical gauges, such as the flaps and fuel gauges were done with the DCS Bios.

Great build sir! I bought the same plans and found myself having to make some corrections to the seat in coreldraw. Great plans, noticed there were some drill holes set as outside lines and so forth. Outstanding plans, alot of fun to modify to your hearts content.

Hi, Im new here, but not entierly new. Been watching your progress on this build since 2019 (20). and i finaly desided to do a build myself.. How mutch do you estimate a build like this would cost? Im not sure if im gona go with the A10C. But i have been thinking of a F-16 build.

Amazing work. WHat are you using for the circuit breaker switches. Can you provide a link? I'm also looking for a good switch to use for caging the artificial horizon. i.e. a momentary pull switch. Any thoughts?
@thewarthogproject4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! My circuit breakers are just non functional placeholders. I also couldnt find a momentary pull switch for the standby ADI, so i ended up using a normal push button with a 3D printed top instead.

hello, do you find the lack of "sym" rockers on your MFD's problematic? i want to use the couger MFD but unsure if it will handicap me in using the A-10C
@thewarthogproject5 жыл бұрын
No handicap at all. I've never even actually used the symbol rockers in the A10 ever before, including in the in game cockpit view. The bigger problem was the lack of off/night/day rotaries, which I have a temporary solution in place now.

Well I got the quote for 4'x8' sheets of acrylic ($90 a sheet!) from a local supplier, I already own the Hotas, the cnc, and the laser cutter, going to hold out until black friday to pick up a set of pedals (my current cockpit is an Obutto revolution that has doubled as racing sim and flying sim so I've used my clutch and gas pedal as rudder pedals... never bought true rudder pedals because I had nowhere to put them) my plan is to add the electronics as I learn to use them in the sim, and it will be mostly a vr pit and arma pit that probably doesn't get used much anyway so having every switch working is way down the list, but I plan on making up all the panels (I have a 700mmx500mm 60w laser so I should be able to knock them out in short fashion...) and get the pit built in the next couple months... and I just paid for the plans from Flim, With all of that being said I am ungodly thankful that you have released your panels, but I was wondering if you have any files with the changes to Flim's plans before I get into cnc cutting all the panels, I can prove I've paid Flim if that helps, If not I'll be cad drawing the whole pit in inventor regardless as the materials over here in the USA are dimensionally a bit different so I'm gonna end modifying a bunch of stuff anyhow... My other question is do you have any idea how translucent the translucent white in your panels is? I don't see it in the specs of the link you share on your website anywhere... the local supplier I've found has it in several like opaquencies... not sure what to get,

As it looks like a fun project. Without an engineering degree or Electronics degree I wonder how hard it will be. I've been looking for dimensions for the canopy and ain't had no luck with that. Of course I still got to figure out how to bend it and make it. And I'm wondering how hard it would be to get a wheelchair into the simulator. That'll make it a little bit easier.
