I’ve been to the ABC islands and to SXM. I made lots of videos and photos of planes landing at Maho beach. And because I shared the landing video of the KLM crew who were to bring me home, I got extra services during my flight back home. I could get into the cockpit (that’s where my profile picture is from) and got extra drinks and a business class kit. The Dutch Caribbean are such amazing places. My favourite is Bonaire because of the rich variety of diving spots!

I find full cockpit views very interesting - seeing the pilots, instrument panels and procedures and hearing the ATC comms as well as the pilots' eye view of the take-off and landing. All that, together with your matchless visual annotations, would be just THE BEST!

@@DutchPilotGirl Very effective, professional use of your text widgets and callouts! Yes, the ATC would be good to hear, and perhaps callouts in the cockpit but I think you should keep the text displays, your sense of timing in terms of duration to read is very good. In general, I think it is wise to differentiate between cockpit videos and flight view videos. They both have their place but trying to do too much in one format makes the editing very challenging, and there is a risk of overwhelming certain viewers, especially on a short (beautiful) flight like this. This was really a pleasant experience. Thanks SO much! You are an excellent pilot, and great communicator.

@@DutchPilotGirl I agree with Alistair, more inside views of the flight deck would be excellent. I don't know if your fellow pilots or your company would approve, but here is an superb example that would be a good template for such videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIvcm6GVms1gsKM kzbin.info/www/bejne/ona1h5-sfsl2jKs This corporate pilot has done a masterful job at putting the viewer right there with them along with good outside views and time spent at many cool or exotic locations too. Someone might clear up my confusion. Altitude is in feet, speed in knots, but then we get metrics. Why the mixture. Can't altitude be in meters? I understand (sort of) nautical miles, though that also could be in kilometers. Wonder if anyone ever proposed one system and the global industry just wasn't receptive. I totally understand "one language everywhere". No room whatever for misunderstanding in emergencies.

My wife and I have been to Aruba twice and loved it. We stayed in a very small local hotel hoping to see more Arubans than fellow Americans. We even looked at few houses that were for sale, but then reality broke in and ended that idea. We went on a company sponsored trip to the US Virgin Islands, but except for the beaches and sunshine we might as well stayed home. When I was in high school in Ontario my room mate was from Curacao, but this was before the 747 changed air travel, so he stayed at the school during holidays while I took a steam train (one short leg to the US border, diesels elsewhere) home. He did go home for the Christmas break and came back very tanned. Please don't change anything about your videos, they are unique. There are plenty of others on KZbin with ATC conversations, engine noises and instruments. Thank you.

It's interesting that in this day and age when, in the world of science and technology where conformity to the SI system is regarded as the way forward, aviation can still bounce around from miles to feet to kilometres to metres to nautical miles. I'm guessing that is largely down to the internationalism of aviation, and the fact that not everywhere employs the metric system. Great to have your traditional piece of music for the final approach. I find these approach and landing videos very soothing - I'm guessing you're not quite so relaxed in the pilot seat. Wait - you're flying the 787 now??? How long have you been flying the Dreamliner? I love it - such an improved cabin environment.

I'm still flying the 737! Haha 787 cabin pressure is wayyy better indeed!

@@DutchPilotGirl you didn't answer his question. Since when do you fly 787? I think most of your subscribers think you only fly the 737.
