I Finally Visited St. Maarten!

The Caribbean island of Saint Martin/Sint Maarten is an iconic vacation destination and home to just over 70,000 people.
It's also a bucket list destination for aviation enthusiasts, made famous for the low landings over Maho Beach at the end of the runway at Princess Juliana International Airport.
After saving up for a while, an opportunity came up to go and I booked a vacation there for February last year.
So, join me, as I spend a week in paradise and see what this amazing island has to offer!

Glad you got to make this trip. I really enjoyed my stay there many years ago. We rented a car and hit every beach there during one week. The jet blast at that beach is no joke, saw a few people who were standing at the fence get blasted onto the road. I think that's why they put that mini fence in front of it now.

I visited the island in 2013 on a Caribbean cruise and would love to return. We had a great tour guide that day, who took us to Maho Beach among many other places. I was one of the few people on the tour who knew about it as I had been watching the KLM 747s coming and going on KZbin.

Thanks for uploading. I did a eerily similar trip the following november. Stayed in the same hotel, visited all the same places, I saw TNCM hundreds of times as a child too. 2008 era. It was so nice to see all of this again because it was incredibly sad to leave. Next time you go, hike up the main mountain Peak Paradise.
