He should mention though that Cockroach does not support Triggers and Stored Procedures and has other shortcomings that prevent it to be a simple drop-in-replacement. In this regard, YugabyteDB is a way better choice

CockroachDB does offer Stored Procedures now. I couldn't even get YugabyteDB to run in docker.
