Nice one. Brings back many memories. I attended Cockwood Primary School from 1960 to 1966. Nice village. In the latter years I used to cycle from home at Dawlish Warren. So daily went past the steps over the railway.

Andy is a great guy and addition to youre channel. I always assumed this was just part of starcross ive driven this road many many times, what a lovely village thank you for the video bill. And excuse me but i had a little boyhood laugh at the name cockwood 😂. Thank you aswell andy
@BillsPhoneTeignmouth2 ай бұрын
Yes he is, and I myself have only driven through before - Nice to have a proper mooch around - Totally agree about the name - The original title was what was on the thumbnail, but I changed it incase the KZbin A.I. had a fit & decided it was a very different type of video 😂😂😂 & then banned my channel!!! 👍👍👍
@andybyrne502 ай бұрын
Thanks mate , that’s very kind of you to say. I think it helps to be with someone that you really get on with, Bill is a great individual and we certainly work well together. I think I’ve laughed at that name since I was a small boy and I really did chuckle at Bills title, I could probably throw in a few funnies myself.

What a great choice Bill. Had a childhood holiday in 1978 at Cofton Farm just further on from the Ship. So that area, Starcross and the Warren aswell as Dawlish has always been close to my heart. That drone footage topped it all off wonderfully. Very interesting history too from Andy.

Very interesting indeed Bill. We have only been there once, just two years ago, for an evening meal actually at the Ship Inn so didn't walk around in the dark afterwards. Then, as you say, the end wall fell down the following year, very sad😿. It really does look a lovely village so you and Andy have now made us put that on our list for next year, thanks - we'll try The Anchor this time. 😺

Super. What an adventure. Very interesting too thank you both. I know this beautiful place too.... I would usually come over from Lympstone with my son in our little inflatable boat. (Just the thing to watch while I try to gently soak off and remove a cleaning cloth that I have successfully super glued to my index finger. What a dummy I am.... I was making a repair at the time....😂😂😂)

Hi Bill, you'll have to start up a new channel and call it Bill and Andy's Excellent Adventures By Phone. 😂😂😂. Great video and it reminded me of the time that we were staying in Dawlish Warren and dad decided we'd walk to Cockwood. The walk there was lovely but going back, he wanted to walk back on what he thought was going to be the beach. You've never seen such muddy creatures as us after we found a bigger stream that had to be crossed. See you tomorrow mate. 👍👍👍
