Amazing fruit, I had just seen a video where they showed it as a rare world fruit, and never after, then last year I saw one on display on a museum in amsterdam, and finally I am reaching your videos about it, great as always. I know all the work they take, and of course not every fruit has all that history to tell, but I love this format.

@zekiah25 жыл бұрын
J D When you live in a place you have to get paid an appropriate amount. If you weren’t, you would be forced to move because you can’t afford it. For most people about 5% of their income is available for them to spend as they want. For me working $10 am hour that a few thousand a year. For some one making the amount required to live in the worst cities in America that 5% could be tens of thousands. Furthermore if he lives conservatively for his day to day he could have 10% or more free income. I suppose it’s also possible that he is mooching off a spouse or his parents but I try not to assume the worst.

Love the double coconut (coco de mer), there are several here in south Florida, though the ones I have seen have not yet fruited. Not sure if conditions aren't right, trees aren't big enough, or if the trees are all male, or all female. There was one in Flamingo Gardens which died due to a very rare freeze for the area in 2009. I'd love to see them get another one. I believe that Fairchild Gardens may still have one or two. There are still a few in Fort Lauderdale on properties along the intracoastal.
