Um... she is the youngest player in the top 100. She is a black female American. Tennis tournaments are like concerts or boxing. She is there for entertainment purposes and to make people money, including herself. It's doubtful the media is not going to participate. Frankly I fund women's tennis boring as sh_t! Serve return serve return serve return serve out. And a lack of popularity has contributed to the slow and painful death of American tennis. We used to be good at two things... showing the planet the results of over investing in ones own military, and producing the best male and female tennis players on Earth. Now some aging basketball player from Atlanta is our only hope for the men's top 35 and 70% of qualified military candidates are unfit to serve. As a bonus, we are still walking around the airport like it's a private home in Japan ( no shoes) and $700 billion dollars later we can't protect the Vice President at work at our own Capitol. So yeah, the media is interested in the next Great Black Hope. And in America, it's the black woman getting sh_t done. Why, after the way America has treated her, I do not know. But in the words of Patti LaBelle, "Don't block the blessing."

@@TaroliRavioli There are many other young tennis players who are doing much better than her.. but they are not getting the same attention.. but despite that they work hard and come up in their career and the media automatically goes to their attention.. you can;t play the women card or different color card in sport... sport itself is a spirit .. when you work and reach that position automatically others will fall into place ...and its not the other way around.. and I guess still in America tennis is a good sport that has good percentage of people playing coaching and also courts available in public parks etc.. in many countries there won;t even be proper courts and they may need to pay for good ones.. despite that people are working and coming hard.. so being in America itself had the ample opportunities to flourish in Tennis with the infra and other facilities.
