I remember being in Chicago about 6-7 years ago at a Holiday Inn Express. A bedroom smaller than the kid’s bedroom. But location location LOCATION, a block from the Mag Mile. Under $100. And no scorpions. You nail why it’s worth it. And not.

I can't see myself staying there. I would be worried about spiders and like you mentioned scorpions. The crab didn't bother me, but I still would not want to see it in my room. Otherwise, hope you enjoyed your time there. Great video and helpful tips. I appreciate your time you put in making these great videos!

I’ll be staying at this location next month! Thank you so much for the honest review. I’m definitely having more realistic expectations! For my trip this is honestly just a place to sleep, we will be going out and about. It was hard to find an aesthetic hotel with an affordable rate in the hotel zone. Hotelito azul is right next door but the rate is very high.

I stayed here may 31 for $136 a night which was a fabulous deal. Loved the ocean view and short walk to the ocean. Not impressed with the bathroom at all, but bed was comfy, air was great. Was a very quiet hotel, enjoyed the hammocks at night with all the stars. The free breakfast was amazing at the Italian restaurant, ate there for dinner and really enjoyed. Check in service was poor as well as friendliness. You are expecting a higher level of service for tge price and being on the beach but no bugs in the room or mosquitoes and would definitely stay here again for the price I paid.

Can you share how to get to this property from Cancun? Take a bus to Ado and taxi or hotel has shuttle service or anything you know could help:) I am traveling in a week and confused about the transportation.

I'd take a taxi. ADO bus is great for going into town, but not great for the beach!

I think time of year matters immensely. I stayed here back in March 2021 and it was gorgeous and lots of people. Minimal seaweed. Nice temps. I stayed in the ocean beachfront room which definitely makes a difference too. Less than 50 feet from the ocean with an incredible view. I actually walked to La Malanchie as well and didn’t find walking to things difficult. I also enjoyed the Italian restaurant on site where I ate most of my meals. I was there for rest and relaxation and not the night life do that made a difference too. It’s not a 5 star hotel but you’re also not paying $1000 a night either. I would love for you to do a video of Diamanté K. I stayed there in 2020 and it was beautiful as well. ☺️❤️✌🏻🙏🏻

This property does not appeal to me at all. We are going to Playa del Carmen in January and I almost booked at Paradisus la Perla but then I found the boutique hotel Petite La Fitte and it looks amazing! Please check it out next time you’re in the area! We love the small and personal boutique hotel vibe and the reviews rave about it.
